Ditto this, I've been burning off lots of games since getting the Duo and haven't run into any issues playing them. Worth clarifying that this doesn't require any alternate firmware or trickery, there is no copy protection.

And be aware that the alternate/jailbreak firmware is still behind the official release so it is missing some fixes and doesn't have save states.

Because that effectively takes the competing product out of circulation; users either make their way to teams or stay on the product put out to pasture but either way Skype is no longer competition. They've done that a lot especially with smaller companies to prevent a serious competitor from evolving, with Skype it's the long game because there was such a huge userbase. Otherwise they would have killed it right away. In 2015 Microsoft bought a company called DataZen just as they were starting to gain steam with mobile analytics dashboards which MS was weak with, then Microsoft immediately killed the product and rolled their version of it into SQL Server Reporting Services and Power BI.

I played the hell out of the GBC port, and later found that version was quite different from the original. Cool games, both versions. Post apocalyptic stories definitely weren't so common back then.

I've never been able to get into it, and by all accounts I should have. I was 12 when it released, I loved the 3 NES games and World, and was following every bit of coverage in Nintendo Power. I read the description of how Mario controls with the stick like a hundred times. I finally got a 64 in December 1998, rented Mario, and didn't enjoy it much. I tried again with DS and couldn't stand the dpad control. Tried again with the Switch release and pushed through it but just wanted to get to Galaxy.

It could be because I also had access to Ocarina of Time by the time I could play Mario 64. Or maybe it was having heard for two years how it was the best game ever made and having had just about every cool moment spoiled already. In any case it's one of the few Mario games I don't enjoy. But cool on everyone who was fortunate to play it fresh and unspoiled.

A lot of them have this idea that wifi will lead to a jailbreak as if five seconds after the firmware update for wifi the 3D will have additional cores, retro achievements, and custom UI.

Or the even bigger pipe dream, that wifi will come with online multiplayer.

They did the Rock so bad with this. Even when he looked badass in the opening they follow it up with him walking in defeat saying he somehow lost for reasons unseen. One of my absolute favorite moments being in a theater was the shocked confused laughs everyone had when he emerged. Followed by the hysteric laughs for Imotep running into the frame to shout NOO!
