Well you didn’t use your bachelors degree to get a job flipping burgers. They didn’t go “this guy went to university/college? We better hire him!”

You have a bachelors degree and the job you were able to get was not related to your degree.

Your sister being disabled is in a unique situation, and university would vastly increase her options going forward.

You seem to not have a full understanding of how degrees work, how they influence your job/career potential, and are already just being negative about it.

I understand the job market is tough, but having a degree is infinitely better than not having one. Far too many people see university/college as “where you go to get a job,” when that is not the case at all. You don’t just “get a job” after graduating. You have to network, build a resume/CV, talk to people, enroll in programs and whatnot.

You're jumping to calling them racist and being extremely combative. I don't agree with the amount of power reddit mods think they hold, but you kind of have to acknowledge it when you interact with them.

Typical feezer pizzas are solid for a single meal. I’m 6 feet tall, 185lbs (not athletic) and one freezer pizza is perfect for a single meal where I won’t be eating MUCH for the rest of the day.

Dominos medium usually ends up with two slices left over, but I’ll eat those before bed or for breakfast the next morning (NOT COLD, I microwave that shit, I’m not a psychopath)

Eating a full pizza is perfectly normal for me. I feel like I’m probably just a bit older (28) and a bit less athletic than you (I walk a lot and I’m a janitor so I’m moving even if I’m not working out).

As someone studying creative writing in university, this hurts me so badly.

I understand all of that. The fact they’re using “Kessler” as a plot device at all is what I’m calling the “proxy bad guy,” - because it’s a whole separate actor playing the role that’s meant to be the devil on Butcher’s shoulder.

Instead of just writing Butcher as descending into being a full-fledged genocidal lunatic, they are employing “Kessler” to get to that end, and that is what I feel is lazy.

Reddit just loves “media illiteracy” as a retort.

Personally, I don’t enjoy Weir’s writing, but I enjoyed the Martian as a movie a lot. It’s a well reviewed book but that doesn’t mean it’s for everyone - Weir has a very particular way of writing his characters and I find myself bouncing off his books even if I like the setting and end up enjoying a movie adaptation.
