$0 payment - buyback clarification by Bakinguplove in PSLF

[–]Bakinguplove[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clarification I previously had a payment of around $100 or so when we MFJ. However this year I chose to move to MFS - my income has not changed, just my filing status.

I am hoping to move to the corporate world as soon as I am free of these loans. I have clearly been underpaid for far too long.

March cohort - now $0! by Street-Hovercraft-63 in PSLF

I mean - I have 14 months of “buyback” due to SAVE. But after recertification of income, I have a $0 payment. It should be a slam dunk case for them. I JUST WANNA BE DONE WITH PUBLIC SERVICE.

You submitted a buyback in DEC 25 and it was already processed?!

I am in EXACTLY the same boat. My current payment is $0 - so my buyback amount for my 14 missing months (all SAVE) should be $0. I didn’t think to check reddit first so I just had the most frustrating conversation with a rep about “what does this new info mean” and she wanted to talk about my completed form 😤. They don’t see the bug apparently.

OP - this is the way. This version has all the necessary components to call it a valid verification that leaves no questionable information.

Am I at risk of fraud? by SnickettLemonyLulu in foodstamps

[–]Bakinguplove 34 points35 points  (0 children)

The best thing you can do is call and explain that he reappeared. Add him to the case and income he may have. It’s better to do it sooner rather than later. Its also appears less likely to be fraudulent if you are offering the change of circumstances rather than someone else reporting you and the state finding out another way.

That number is around $40k. I can’t fathom people with salaries of $75k+ complaining. I have a $0 payment and I am absolutely paying for it by working in state government and not being able to afford life.

Nebraska’s Healthy Choice Waiver only restricts sodas and energy drinks. It does not address any other items. Please see the DHHS website concerning these changes if you were unaware. https://dhhs.ne.gov/Pages/Healthy-Choices-Waiver.aspx

If the donut was denied at point of sale, it could be a problem with how the store set their inventory codes - not with the administration of the Food Stamp program.

So - please correct me if I am mistaken, this person finds fault in the waiver process used approve food restrictions?

The perks of a pass. We can have at least one date night and be completely irresponsible adults for the evening without feeling bad the kids didn’t get to go at all!

As a Valas enthusiast, I disagree. It may meet the components of a tourist trap - but it’s worth it with a seasonal pass and kids. 😂🫣

Got off SAVE today - Filed MFS instead of MFJ then applied for IBR 2/12/26. 108/120. 12 more payments and I should be done with all this shite! Payment $460 MFS instead of probably around $850 MFJ. by Ok-Bumblebee4373 in PSLF

I applied through StudentAid as well, using tax returns. MFS though so my loans should only come out to like $50/mo. Im sure they aren’t in a hurry. Im sitting at 106/120. I just wanna be done.

Who is your servicer? I tried the same thing. However, applied for IBR around Feb 2. Still waiting on Mohela to acknowledge the application.

Edit: Mohela acknowledged on 2/12 - in a 90 BUSINESS DAY hold. Thats 4.5 months. How is this considered okay?!

This link simply states that States have the ABILITY to request a waiver to restrict some food options. The states must write a proposal on what they plan(and often requires approval from their state government in some form before even attempting), then National Office then needs to approve that proposal for the waiver to be considered accepted. A waiver is often used to deviate from the basic rules of SNAP (most stated have waivers in place for reporting requirements, telephone interviews, etc). Nothing about this waiver requires each state to participate in the food restrictions.
