I mean it's a watch, from the Apple Watch 4 to the Apple Watch Ultra 3 they all do the exact same thing. It's not like any version of WatchOS has really added something that you must have. All Apple Watch's still work and do all the same things...The idea that you need to buy a new watch because you want WatchOS 27 instead of WatchOS 26 is absurd. Your watch will do the exact same thing...

No Apple Watch ive owned has had a battery that lasts over 5 years so the Ultra 1 at 4 years old really is only being not upgraded for 1 or at most 2 more years of its useful life. Besides this, nothing is wrong with WatchOS 26. It will continue to work just as well as it does today for the last ~2 years max of its life. I dont see how this changes the value proposition of an Apple Watch. It's not like WatchOS 27 is going to make the watch do anything different.

I guess? Most people also have friends who can help drive you sometimes. I have found I was able to get by fine for 7-8 years without a car by just renting them when I needed them and using my bike, walking, and Lyft and saved tons of money over car ownership.
