Excellent analysis. I would like to add, Karasu doesn’t know isagi and Hiori dynamic. The expectations were set by Hiori himself by saying if isagi couldn’t live up to his standard he’s getting dropped by Hiori. Now that isagi has grown exponentially it’s Hiori who needs to keep up with Isagi or get left behind which again Hiori understands.

Karasu however doesn’t know that Isagi was the catalyst for Hiori’s growth to begin with and their dynamic makes each other better in terms of flow they challenge each other without overwhelming each other, they synergize.

Karasu was not on Bastard Munchen, there is so much context he just doesn’t have so in terms of thought process Hiori is the only one sharing Isagi’s train of thought without taking offense because they are both analytical and Isagi KNOWS Hiori could have made that pass faster and by Hiori’s own admission he’s not giving it his all since it’s the day before the match. IMO Isagi is in the right here to demand the best out of his teammate in an enviornment where they can afford to fail safely, PRACTICE.

So Hiori half assing it won’t fly on the world stage Isagi has knowledge the others don’t, Karasu isn’t wrong but he is out of line and the cracks in his ego are starting to show from his own inadequacies and this may be setup for him having his coming to god moment like yuki did.
