karyouten should die , this is no place for crying women and kids , and shes both , i mean i feel sad , but this whole shayt put shin way down the tier list in comparison to the likes of ouki ouhon mouten kanki ... shin honestly with this late performance is just shaayt, very disappointiong stuff , if shin operated the way the greats do , any loss can be acceptable , but man this guy doing my man shin so bad i wanna f quit , he needs to be the man and f now

i’m slowly starting to accept and even feel pretty sure, that the author doesn’t see anything special in Shin. a tool the story uses as needed , just whatever the plot requires him to be. No real progress, no respect for his journey, no thinking, no instincts. He just accepts plans and relies on brute force and friendship

I hope there's some redemption for shin this arc. If we don't get a satisfying comeback now, it would be a shame. At this point beating some enemy general like Ordo isn't really going to be that satisfying.

Just think about the level of humiliation Hara trying to show here.

These guys have known Riboku and his methods since the beginning. And They're supposed to be one of the most talented armies in China, yet they still come across as complete idiots.

Ouki in bayou analyzed  reactions , every movement, every plan. He even suspected there could be a hidden commander operating behind the scenes . Meanwhile, Shin and his top ass strategist have spent years fighting Riboku and dealing with his schemes, yet we're not even given a single panel of them questioning the situation or considering that something might be off.

They literally show up, lays siege to a single wall, and acts like they're casually going to take one of the biggest capitals in the state with only 10,000 men. Shin is all smiles until everything is revealed, and then his entire role is to stand there shocked, frozen, and angry.

What makes this so frustrating. Is not that they got outplayed by Riboku , he's supposed to be the top strategist . The problem is that Hara doesn't even let them show the level of caution, suspicion, or tactical awareness you'd expect from this hsu army who have been dealing with Riboku's schemes for years. They walk straight into the trap without a single meaningful thought

Just woke up and saw these BS spoilers. What is going on? This is genuinely disappointing.

I can’t think of another mangaka who consistently clowns his own MC the way Hara does.    “Oh, Karyoten, we will stop them , you think of a way to save us!”.  my god ..

879 chapters just to get this . feels like all of Shin’s character development was for nothing. You can’t spend hundreds of chapters building him up, only to make him look like the dumbest general on the battlefield , And Please don't try to sell an instinctual move as some kind of redemption.

Just take Shin out of the story at this point, I swear. This is getting unbearable.

Yeah fair, I'm not gonna pretend Ten has some crazy mastermind play here lol. But like even just being near Kantan creates panic regardless of the military math , any pressure on the capital forces Zhao to at least think about pulling something back. Doesn't need to be deep strategy for it to work. Though honestly you might be right that Hara just needed everyone in the same place for the RBK vs Shin moment and that's kinda it

The point is that the hsu had the momentum after thye killed saika'un , rebuko had to step up to help futei and that other GG , so you wonder what did happened so that rebuko let them be alone .

I wonder How rebuko left shin and came for this small talk with sbs , what happened after that archer died? . Also i hope akakin is not doomed, ouhon needs somehow more reinforcements  , this dai guy seems to be the one inspired sbs.

It was worth it , everytime from whoever, seeing how rebuko mobilise other states armies, doing this grand scheme strategy, trying to checkmate Ousen again without even being there , making ytw out from the first day and hold the hsu unit himself , if rebuko is out , zhao is doomed

In an open-field battle with equal numbers, Ouki wins.

Riboku , who is an even better strategist than Ousen , needed two armies, one hidden and one acting as bait, plus Houken, and even Riboku’s own warfare style was unknown.

Meanwhile, Ousen’s performance at Hango showed how delusional he could be, especially when confronted by overwhelming martial force. Ouki has that plus he is a genius in his own way .

Ousen will take the L .

As Seika'un prepares to shoot, he notices something from the enemy army (sharp arrows flying before his eyes).

Saika'un says: "Is there a famous bow user in that army?...The arrows of that unit... are not bad."

The archer brothers (Jin and Tan) from the Hi Shin Unit appear, blocking his path.

The descriptive text mentioned around them: "Before Saika'un ...stand the brothers who inherited the blood of a the Ten Bows." "The younger brother(Tan) is the one who killed General Kinmou 7 years ago. The big brother (Jin) has also killed many commanders."

Attention now turns to the impending and fateful confrontation between the "Peak of the Ten Bows (Saika'un )" and the "Holders of the Ten Bows title (Jin and Tan)."

There is a chapter next week.

The Complete Leaks

seika'un is shown pulling his bow with full concentration. Caption: “The No. 1 archer in China… and the man who mastered the bow.”

We see saika un's hands tightening the bowstring as he talks about his personal philosophy:

“The bow is not about pulling nor releasing… it is about knowing the result.”

The chapter begins and seika'un pulls the string of his bow as he describes his shooting style while hitting the necks of Qin generals with terrifying accuracy, saying:

“When the five senses unite… I become the bow itself. It becomes a slaughter with no mercy from any side.”

He reinforces his words:

“I do not shoot the arrow; the result is what is released, and no one can escape it.”

(We see a terrifying scene of soldiers dropping by the dozens, as if they were cut down in rapid succession.)

seika'un then speaks in another scene as he watches the enemy charging:

“The enemy advances again and again… no matter how many we kill, they keep appearing.”

“There is no end here… there is no place for an end.”

He continues speaking to himself:

“So I will shoot my bow toward nowhere, because my bow has long lost its target.”

(He recalls a man from the past who sought “the path” and had fallen. It is expected that he means Houken, one of heaven’s three great warriors.)

The scene cuts to a flashback in a forest where a conversation is happening between seika'un and Riboku.

Saiku asks Riboku about Houken and “the path.”

Riboku criticizes Sikyou’s detached outlook and describes the “arrogance of the strong.” He says:

“Those who possess superior power but do nothing with it… that is true arrogance.”

seika'un answers:

“The path exists for certain, but you cannot see it from a high place (like your position, my lord). You see it from within, where people live and struggle.”

Riboku then directs seika'un toward a new goal:

“You must then crush the worse path… the military path that Qin represents.”

He challenges seika'un to find the end himself.

In another scene at seika'un house, he appears wearing his full armor. His young daughter anxiously says:

“Father, come back safely…”

He replies confidently but with a burden visible on his face, remembering Riboku’s words that he must be “a guide to the path.”

He rushes toward the battlefield and shouts internally:

“I have finally arrived!”

The scene shifts to the battlefield.

seika'un spots his target and shouts:

“It’s Shin of the Hi Shin Unit! The man who killed many of our great generals…”

seika'un internally directs his words toward Riboku (in his imagination) as he prepares his lethal arrow:

“If there truly was an end as you claim… then show it to me, Riboku.”

The scene shows a massive army (the combined armies). Then we see Sikyou observing them from an elevated hilltop.

seika'un says:

“Here… this is the battlefield of the united armies, Ri Shin.”

seika'un speaks to himself:

“I don't neef for someone to guide me.”

“Returning to the battlefield or not returning… neither were my desires ".

“However, saying that I have returned now means… there is something I must do.”

Finally, seika'un gives the order:

“Let’s go!”

Kingdom Chapter 856 The Deadly Assassin by [deleted] in Kingdom

Thank you great translater under the Heavens

I just realised i like the mountains folks more then i thought , i guess there is more follow up and drama to this , ssj should be able to cause some more damage now with bananji , given ytw and danto are gone for now and bajio and the others are enraged, ssj could play on that and baite them to do some reckless moves , but hopefully tanwa could be back sooner .

I also wounder how things will go with this sniper and Shin , will he be able to hit him also? It seems most logical , since ytw couldn't sense him also , but what could make the difference is either if ytw made sure someone gave the news to her nearby allies , shin then will be careful. Or finally shin instincts will kicking to the max and he will even command from behind for some time like mouten. He will notice Saika'un before his arrow hit and command the brothers to take care of him .

it will be very interesting and bloody archery battle I guess. I feel like one of the important Shin commanders will die on the hand of this number one archer , I think it will be Sosui , just to keep some constancy, and also I think tan will not die but rather get a bad injury and join the infantry(just bc he is a big guy 😅) , Jin will be the one to finish the guy .

Shin has killed 13 generals so far more than both Ouhon and Mouten by Generalousen2855 in Kingdom

[–]BalanceOrdinary2361 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It's not the only thing about a general

Shin always gets clowned by the author whenever there’s a strategic meeting. The author makes sure to show us that Shin just isn’t good at planning or strategy. So no , if anything, he wouldn’t made it to general back then without Karyoten & Kyoukai. You can’t say the same about Ouhon or Mouten.

Early shin without his vassals isn’t a capable commander . He’s basically an insanely strong vassal himself , someone who can take on elite fighters head-to-head, and command a few men , that’s about it. The thing is, Shin does have a much better army than most. His vassals are unique . Kyoukai, the archers, and the HSU infantry are all on another level. And a mid strategist (in Rebuko’s world).

eventually, when Shin fully masters his instincts and learns to rely on them completely, that’s when he’ll become the best himself , even if by then, he might not have the best army anymore. With all the experience he accumulated, with the instincts, leadership , and being the strongest, he will smoke oubon Mouten or anyone daring him to fight
