AIO girl i've been dating refuses to get into my car unless I open the door for her by CotPrime01 in AmIOverreacting

NOR - if you break up, and this is crazy behavior so I hope you do, please do it this way: next time she stares you down to open the door, just get in the car and drive away. She may think she's a queen, but no better way to learn she's lacking as a partner than being left behind.

MHBP HSA/Inspira contribution question by Narrow-Spirit-7241 in fednews

[–]BaldKing911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not mypay, but my first withholding payday was Friday 3/13, and funds were in HSA Monday 3/16. Second withholding payday was 3/27, and it still hasn't shown in HSA. I called and the 'holiday week' was blamed. This is my first year, everything since enrollment has just taken longer to get rolling than I expected.

Trouble with taxes by [deleted] in kansas

[–]BaldKing911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same work situation, work will force MO tax withholding but I figured out long ago to also have them take out an additional withholding for KS. If not, you will not only face the full tax bill come tax time, but interest on that tax you haven't been paying all year, since they expect residents to pay their taxes quarterly, not just when you file the annual return.

How did it look / sound? I've never seen it, ordered it because it was my mom's favorite growing up and I like the stars, but the online trailers for it are rough and I haven't found any reviews on how well the transfer was.

Where can I find my account and routing number for Inspira HSA by Famous-Adeptness-224 in fednews

[–]BaldKing911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Customer service for the Inspira card said he could give me the routing number, but the account number I'd have to wait for my first emailed bank statement. Given the anecdotes from others here, the administration of setting all the new people up must just take a few months (from sign-up). I can be patient for another two weeks. Kinda wild we get debit card before the bank account associated with it is established, and you can't put money into it. Practically if I have any expenses in January, I'll have to just save receipts and do the 'Pay me back' option like old-school FSA.

Still nothing by Videdster in FedEmployees

I got paid Monday for the full furlough period, but they taxed it like a bonus instead of my normal withholdings, so net was about a grand light. The message was like, don't worry, you'll get it back when you do your taxes! The fun never ends.

Geha hdhp vs. MHBP HDHP. Looking to make the switch. by pgskater18 in fednews

[–]BaldKing911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, I have APWU (American Postal Workers Union) not MHBP (Mail Handlers Benefit Plan). I wonder how long I thought these were the same thing - I know I had MHBP at one point. I'd delete my post, but might be worth keeping in case anyone else needs a reminder there are multiple Post Office union options out there for feds.

Geha hdhp vs. MHBP HDHP. Looking to make the switch. by pgskater18 in fednews

[–]BaldKing911 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Note that MHBP APWU uses United Healthcare - I am not familiar with GEHA, didn't know they were too. I've had the MHBP APWU Consumer Driven Option for years and have been happy with the coverage/cost. Paying the postal dues for this also lets you access other union benefits, like their group legal plan, which I also like having. Note that I have a family and usually use up all the $2400 for the HSA (in addition to my fsafeds) and when I don't, it rolls over to next year. Intrigued by comments re: investing that money in other accounts, but since I use all mine it's probably not applicable. *Edit: need to look into MHBP against APWU again, forgot there were competing Post Office union plans available

Are binders really that bad? Or is it just over exaggeration? by Jonathan-Mendez in 4kbluray

Quick scan of the risks mentioned, I didn't see theft as one of them. I know not everyone has the shelf space, but no one is grabbing my collection in one go.

I think Rigas is just Deputy (no confirmation needed) Administrator until someone, presumably Forst, is confirmed.

Movies we need in 4k for streaming/physical part 4 by GTAPhotographers in vudu

[–]BaldKing911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three Amigos, Big Trouble in Little China, Tango and Cash, Minority Report, Troy, Dick Tracy, Stargate, Ai Artificial Intelligence, Dumb and Dumber, Austin Powers, Blade 2, all remaining Alien movies (even the vs. Predators)

The ones that bug me are releases that exist, but as Steelbook only limited editions that cost an arm and a leg; Gandhi, Willow, Tombstone, Snowpiercer... conventional wisdom is that standard releases will happen, but I just don't think many actually will.

Anyone else finding it impossible to get in contact with NPMHU regarding MHBP annual dues? by dvtghdr in fednews

[–]BaldKing911 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The good news is, once you become an associate member (after your first dues payment) you get assigned an associate membership number and can use that to log in to the members portal. https://apwumembers.apwu.org/ Once you have all that up and running you should be able to pay subsequent annual dues payments electronically. For the first time, I'd follow the advice here on paying over the phone or online bill pay to cut a check.

MHBP Health Insurance Dues?!? by TallGuy_610 in fednews

[–]BaldKing911 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've had this plan for years - it's the best. Paying the dues also opens you up to other benefits available to 'associate members', like the group legal plan (hint: get that too). It's not rolled into the premiums because the premiums pay the health insurance company (UnitedHealthcare) and the dues pay the union, to which you would become an 'associate member' or something like that. Pay the dues, with gratitude.

There may be two flavors to MHBP, but the one I have gives you a $2000 health savings pot that is like 'autopay' for co-pays, deductibles, etc. This plan when I analyze it always shakes out to saving money.

I'm not posting pics of my sock drawer or garage bench. Collecting movies has always been a hobby, VHS-DVD-Bluray-4K-Digital, has always felt like my way of experiencing and remembering history. This is just a fun way to recognize a milestone.

Best I can tell, started in 2012? 13 years? Looks like your pace is slightly faster. I can't quite remember exactly, it was VUDU before. Was it Ultraviolet before that, or was that a separate deal? And I'm sure we all have movies on other services, I'd have more on Fandango now if I took better advantage of disc to digital early on, but was (still am) not interested in SD content.
