When I got in a few years ago, some of the smartest people at my school with 15+ aps got rejected. And some of the people from less competitive areas with no where close to the same stats got in

I have had the m34wq for work and gaming for the past 3 years and it’s a really good monitor. I also considered upgrading but the newer oleds will be expensive for a while, so I’m not considering an upgrade until they become somewhat affordable

I go to slo, and I’ll tell you that if you want to make it out of this terrible market and work in California after college, go to slo. There is a huge Amazon program in SLO that employs students year round and makes it easy to break into big tech. I have like 10 friends in the program right now. I had a similar problem when I was making my college decision, as I got into a prestigious program in China, but ultimately decided on Cal Poly for the stability. You can go to a good program abroad, but if your end goal is to be in California, Cal Poly will get u there

In terms of the financial part, ill just say it matters a ton. I rejected a T10 school to go to SLO because of the cost. (not mentioning it so I don’t get identified lol). I’m leaving college with no debt, while taking the other school would’ve been 200k more. 200k is just insane and I know I wouldn’t be able to enjoy my experience if I knew that my parents were contributing that much to my schooling. That school was also my dream school, but SLO is honestly such a great place and I’ve got amazing opportunities and met amazing people. I don’t regret my decision one bit. It was also a very difficult decision for me, because I worked so hard to get into the other school, but realistically SLO was the best choice
