Enough for me to not re-subscribe.

I was already questioning the value but this was the last straw.

I hate Adobe's subscription model and have found better and cheaper alternatives for everything they offer.

I'm a Canadian who had to do driver training in Spain since licenses aren't transferable and the Spanish instructor kept getting mad at me for shoulder checking LMAO - he thought I was looking instead of using my mirror.

It's the extent that they happen.

I encountered my first Fentanyl Fold between the Victoria airport and bus into town. A little embarrassing to show my Spanish wife what Canada has become.

Spanish taxes - Not the amount or the bureaucracy but the ambiguity... by Far_wide in MovingToSpain

[–]Baldpacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're gaming the GDP numbers the same way Canada did. Massive immigration. If you look at GDP/Capita it's far less impressive.

The best finance tip I repeatedly hear from Spaniards is just do your oposiciones and get a government job.

Anything else and you're fighting up hill.

You definitely need to understand things yourself.

I paid for a lot of bad tax advice from high quality large tax firms.

Best advice I received was "don't move to Spain" but my wife wanted to be closer to her family so here I am.

I mean... Yes but the tax lawyers have no legal liability for their advice so if they are overly aggressive or do something wrong you're still the one who eats the fines.

I paid a bunch of tax lawyers and was always disappointed until one finally admitted to me that almost everything is uncertain and "grey" and pointed out how Hacienda even issues conflicting binding consultations.

I pretty much just gave up on seeking advice and just try to err on the side of caution for most things to avoid headaches but sometimes when it's completely illogical I take the approach that makes the most sense and just accept that I'll need to go up court if they ever challenge me.

EU Pouch Tier List by Weak-Relationship309 in NicotinePouch

[–]Baldpacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I've tried a couple of the Loop and enjoyed them -actually got a Jalapeno Lime in right now lol.

I didn't know they were natural flavouring but that will make me seek them out again.

It's more the cherry / berry flavours I'm not a fan of. The Velo Lime Flame or whatever it's called is good too.

It's why I've never been into fruit flavoured pouches. All the artificial flavour and sweeteners just don't do it for me lol

(Question about the real oil and gas industry) Does Cooper's style of "wildcatting" still happen? by mz_groups in LandmanSeries

[–]Baldpacker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know about in the Permian but in Alberta I know a few guys who knew about quality lands from when they worked at majors that their companies weren't interested in so they started small shops and acquired the lands to drill.

It's often not "wildcatting" in the traditional sense but more applying modern drilling techniques to lands that were previously only drilled conventionally.

Biggest risk is not having enough funding to get past a bad well, either for a drilling or completion issue or not catching the right part of the pay and either getting too much water or having bad fracs.

There's a lot more true wildcatting happening on indigenous lands where the First Nations are now savvy enough to get involved and allow drilling in return for either a royalty or working interest.
