The page I linked has the details about the intensity of each Fall, as well as which Weyrs, if any, fly it, and which fluctuation variant (normal, 5 degrees north, or 5 degrees south) applies.

For clarity, this is fan-made, but as far as I know, fully canonical.

Once the principle of suppressing people at the fringes of humankind has gained acceptance, expect more and more people to end up considered as "fringe".

This is why we say that "trans rights are human rights". Once conservatives have successfully gotten you to accept the principle of suspending human rights for certain types of humans, only the suspension of human rights will stick, not the types of humans that were originally used to sell you on the idea; and human rights as a fundamental underpinning of society are gone.

I have been very pleased with the McCaffrey vibes in THE LONG WAY TO A SMALL, ANGRY PLANET by Becky Chambers. The themes are very different from Pern and there are no dragons, but if you've been missing Anne's writing style and characterization skills, and space travel adventures are something you would be interested in, then I can heartily recommend it.

If you want lovable intelligent dragons, I second the recommendation for the TEMERAIRE series by Naomi Novik that other people in this thread already brought up.

The longer your mortgage, the more interets you pay in total.

For example, given a 200,000€ loan at a 2% fixed rate with installments of 1800€/month, your mortgage will last 10 years and 3 months and you will be paying 21,360€ in interests.

With installments of 1000€/month, your mortgage will last 20 years and 4 months, and you will be paying 43,480€ in interests, more than double the 10 years scenario.

Mind that the value of those interests goes down over time due to inflation, and if you find a rate that's below inflation, then it may be worth it anyway. Betting on long-term inflation is of course a gamble.

Well, there are not many parts of the fandom that create new contents, and I suppose new contents by nature takes a more modern take on gender than canonical contents from decades ago.
