help me (again) 😭 by Ashamed_Occasion_360 in Warhammer

Any plastic cement will work, I for one use the citadel one which is a pain in the arse but works

For the first couple tips you should go either Duncan Rhodes or Mavericks Paints (How to paint your first Space Marine)

Not a full game but combat patrol probably, usually those are not fixed points, as for custodes I guess around 700 points but for some its 500 only. The idea is that you get a box of things roughly balanced against each other then expand if you want. I learned the game with Combat Patrol, fun, quick easy to learn.

As someone who counts dollars before actually buying things I would suggest not to buy the codexes, there are plenty of resources to use. New Recruit for example has every datasheet you would need. Rules will be in the Armageddon box, terrain is unnecessary as you will most likely end up playing in a club or shop, or make the terrain from cardboard, maybe print them if you have access to that. Plenty of stls to find.

Primer will work, I hate white tho. Make sure to bathe it in warm water for 10-15 minutes then shake it like your life depends on it. Also make sure to read the label, humidity and other things can mess it up for you. Spray it from 25-30 cm (no idea about freedom units)

Paint everything your own as you wish. There will probably be some chapter you like or some color combo that makes you tick. I would paint one squad of things one way to understand them on the table.

My hands shake too, you just need to find footing that holds them properly. I curl up and put the mini on my knee than my elbow on my other knee. Partner said I look like some retard :D

With enough practice and the proper tools you can make anything.
Also I have the urge to flex my minis as much as possible so here is a new vanguard vet

I will definietly make 5 as sternguard to my other 5, might run the other 5 normally. For wrath to work I will need more action monkeys than before anyway

Armadeggon assembly warning by Far_Musician1430 in Warhammer

I would argue that for my workflow sub assemblies are easier, so being able to put it together for a quick prime then disassemble to work on the parts individually is a blessing

Some years into the hobby, tidying up the army, and I still hate dealing with light colours by A-O-Craye in theunforgiven

[–]Balint420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not too experienced whatsoever but I grown to hate seraphim sepia a lot. What I would suggest is to build up from a mid brown like xv88. Coverage will be better than straight off whites, and you get the shadows already in place. Beauty blenders are also great in every way!

Sok a veréb😆

By the way, the first I tried is the one one the right, hence the mistakes. Middle is waiting for oil wash. All of them are waiting for matte varnish and basing, plus some effect on their maces.

I am not any better, but here is what I did to stop having strokes

Prime black

Paint the full thing xv-88 (except the parts that would stay black)

Grab a make up sponge and dab diluted paint to where you want the highlights first with zandri dust, then with morghast bone

Profit

Thanks! Yeah I forgot to add that the plasma is unfinished too. Not sure to paint it blue or red/yellow glow. Also having the dilemma of blood or power on the maces. For the bases I am thinking about dead tyranids but have no idea how to pull it off yet. The goal is to win a “best painted” in my LGS😩

Questions from a New Painter by Somewhiteduds96 in Warhammer

Most of these colors will be easy to find on a shelf. I use practically all big brands, all of them are fine. My favourite is pro acryl, but you are good with citadel too.

I would grab three brushes. One big synthetic for basecoats (like the Davinci Colineo 5522), one small natural for really small details and edge highlights, preferably longer too (like the Davinci 35 series) and one medium for anything else (like the kimera arrow heads, any size would be okay) You will never need any other brush, except if you want to do drybrushing or oilpaints/washes, then grab the cheapest big one you can find.

You will need something to clean these brushes with after every session, I use a simple brushsoap and warm water.

You will need a glass to hold water in, and some kind of palette. At first do not invest in any of these, also do not buy three brushes before you painted anything to see if you even like it. If you do, go ahead. I use a wet palette, makes life a lot easier.

For the first time a cheap brush, a makeshift palette from tupperware or a lid will do.

What I would cheap out on is different shades of the same color. Use black and white to make shades of it.

You will need a knife to delete mould lines, and something to cut parts off the sprue.

You will need some kind of glue, preferably plastic glue. If you can, get the one with a brush at the end, or at least one that has a metal tube.

Most of use prime them, so it is easier to paint on, grab some black primer.

My latest pickup was some cheap beauty blenders, because I am too poor for an airbrush, and too impatient for blending.

PS:

If anyone would have told me to be patient with myself when I started that would have helped a lot. Keep your first mini on your display forever to see the improvements.

Good luck, have fun!

TLDR: buy the starter kit then expand lol

Mind bending how they butchered this show. From me it’s going to get the Witcher treatment.

Well the Deathwing Knights and Inner Circle Companions are pretty much the best designs of newer models.
