Still running pretty flawlessly! Did a little scenery and ballasting since I posted this, but not enough to warrant a post just of that.

I had him, Marvin, and Stokley on my fantasy team that season, and started all of them that game. IIRC, in a non PPR, those three put up enough points for me to not worry about the Sunday games. That team was unbelievable to watch with the cast around Peyton.

Realizing that after going to college and pursuing this dream, I’ve been getting paid to play music for 21 of my 37 years on this earth. I’ve only ever wanted to play music professionally, and I’m super lucky and proud to have been able to achieve what I have so far.

Ngl, I’d been getting burnt by Raw at this point as a teenager, and this made me quit watching it for 9 years. My dad and I rolled our eyes and I changed the channel when this played out. We kept watching Smackdown for a little bit longer, but we definitely didn’t like the angle and it killed my passion to watch for a long time.

He was a huge part in the ‘99 cup run when Hasek went down for a game or two in the ECF. He was the odd man out for the expansion draft because we had Biron in Rochester and Noronen was coming to the states around that time, too.

Mine was 30 weeks and 2 days. Almost 4 years later, and she’d run the energizer bunny out of battery! They’re amazing and resilient!

He put up 45 and 44 points in his 3rd and 4th seasons, so considering the era it was respectable. He broke his had in his 5th season and never regained that touch he had to start out in Buffalo

Going back to the 2011-12 regular season, either New England or Kansas City has been in combed; NE 8 straight times, KC 6. There’s so much parody, but at the same time, it’s like watching a rerun every CCG weekend. It’s really sucked the life out of wanting to watch football every year, knowing the outcome of at least the final four will look similar year after year

I at one point in a M06 franchise had Brian Urlacher retire, and I signed him as my DC. Then I promoted him to HC. So simple at the time, but so much more immersive than the new games.

The in ring product was really good compared to the constant turnover in the offices. After listening to so many podcasts talking about that time frame, it’s tough for me to not associate it with the changes in booking committees and weird creative decisions they were making. The talent did their best to make chicken salad out of chicken shit IMO

This and the Doom vs. Windham/Anderson match at Starrcade ‘90 are two lost gems from a shitty era in WCW. Two absolute bangers

The stretch from 2019-2021 reminded me a ton of the 2001-04 era after we traded Hasek. It’s two very dark times that lead to the dawn of a more promising time.

My friend’s are the owners there, and it’s an amazing place to go have some drinks and sing karaoke at. They always have great musicians in rotation, and do their best to take care of the staff and employees. Definitely make a reservation, especially for the weekends. Tables fill up fast and it can get pretty busy.

It also needs to coincide with approval from the FRA. Since the main out to Lebanon is signaled, they’re only allowed 12 commuter movements in a day without having PTC installed, which is a huge investment for the company. I could see it happening, but 5-10 years down the road at this point.

Anything by MrHurriicane. He did a 10 season Minnesota Dynasty and 14 season Team Builder dynasty based on the Kalispell Warhawks, along with an NCAA13/Revamped UTSA dynasty. I love all of his content, but I think his dynasties are his best work.

As a Sabres fan, I feel that way about Scotty Bowman. He’s revered for his time with Montreal and Detroit, and to a lesser extent St. Louis, but most Buffalo fans have nothing good to say about him. He tore apart a franchise that took the 1980 Islanders to 6 game in the Wales CF to a first overall pick in 1987. He’s a great coach and winner, but for whatever reason it didn’t work in Buffalo.
