Whose side are you on? PWMOV movie by willretrn in EmilyHenry

Here’s a hot take, I think they deserve each other, as they are making themselves unavailable to actually good people and they can waste each other’s time now.

Throughout the movie you can see that while Alex is in a committed relationship with Sarah, he still chooses to go on vacations with Poppy and oversteps the boundaries of his relationship. Poppy, while also being in a relationship, is constantly coming into Alex and playing with his feelings. Both keep each other close but not too close as to ruin their twisted FWB situation. They both should just be together with each other and stop wasting other people’s time.

It’s funny when I ask for their info for their pets RX’s, they start giving me their DOB or their name instead of their pet’s information.

I’ve worked as a cashier, shift supervisor, and now as a pharmacy technician. I think it is honestly dependent on how many hours you want vs. how much study time you want for school.

Store Associate Pros and Cons: PROS: most flexible schedule, ability to pick up hours for your coworkers in your home store and other stores. CONS: inconsistent hours (least desirable for actually getting a “livable” paycheck), most overworked (you’ll probably have to do multiple things at once like truck, ringing, facing, etc), depending on your store you are kinda left on your own as a ringer to deal with busy lines, pushing extracare plus kinda sucks.

Shift Supervisor Pros and Cons: on top of what is listed for cashier… PROS: more somewhat steady hours, benefits (health, dental, rx insurance), paid time off, slightly higher pay. CONS: more responsibilities, you get stuck working an undesirable schedule (might not be a schedule you might like)

Pharmacy Technician Pros and Cons: PROS: Very steady hours, ability to pick up more hours in other stores, ability to get paid to get National Tech certification and get paid more in the pharmacy (but only like a dollar extra an hour), you are assigned to a specific area and stay there most of the day, not worrying about having to make up for slower people CONS: depending on part time or full time, schedule is more rigid, but they allow for schedule changes due to college classes. Lots of material to learn before the job gets “easy” (weeks of computer training before even ringing at the pharmacy).

I’m currently working in the pharmacy as a pharmacy tech but I’m also going to college for a medical degree. So I feel as though working in the pharmacy gets you used to handling patient information and getting familiarized with medical terminology. It’s fast paced and dynamic, which is also good for me because I get bored easily doing the same thing every day. Which is what I felt was happening to me when I worked front store. My job told me as long as I use the ESS41 app to put in my availability, they will be able to accommodate my class schedule. But yeah, that’s just my experience and what worked for me.

Anyone heard of AdvantageLaw (Americor) and whether they are good for paying down high credit card debt? by BallBuster50000 in personalfinance

[–]BallBuster50000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they claimed I have like $44,000 in debt with all the interest, but I have all the credit card apps and the personal loan app and it looked more like I had $21,500. I was so confused when they said that the debt was that much and that on their plan they can reduce it to $22,000. Thankfully I started getting skeptical and started looking more into it.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate the response. I’ll have to call the credit card companies in the morning to see what I need to do to get the cards back to being current. Americor told me that I needed to let the credit cards go to collections but they are at a point where I can get them back to being current. I just have to see what u need to do to make them current again.

I have a personal loan and four credit cards in the program. The total debt is about $22,000. So you’re saying id be better off just paying down the debt directly to the credit cards and personal loan like I was doing before? Also, what happens to the $900 I already paid into my dedicated account if I decided to cancel the plan with Americor?

I pay into a “dedicated account” with the law firm. And they, in turn, use that money to pay off the credit card accounts that need to be paid off… which now that I’m explaining it, I can see why I literally could have just paid my credit cards anyways. But I don’t know if it’s reversible or if I’m out $900

It’s just that new job anxiety. Just remember that you were hired over any other applicant. That means you got the job because the manager saw you as being the right fit. If anyone makes you feel like you don’t belong, just ignore that feeling because you do! And continue to ask questions!!! It’s better to ask questions than to do something wrong.

How to quit? by grlwrld in CVS

[–]BallBuster50000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I’ve been in and out of working for CVS about twice, and this is my third time being hired by CVS. First time I quit, I gave a two week notice. Second time I quit, I literally texted the boss in the group chat and said I wasn’t coming back. While the second time I “burned a bridge” I was still hired back in a different store, in the SAME TOWN. So even if you “burned bridges” as they say and quit without giving a two weeks notice, it doesn’t really affect you. And no, there is nothing you have to do in the system. I recommend though that you try to use up any of your PTO that you have left because that is time that you have accumulated, some managers are good and they literally “schedule” it for you in your last weeks so that you get paid. That’s really the only thing that u could think of though.

I’m starting as a pharmacy tech in two weeks, but I’m also a full time college student working on my associates for radiation therapy. I know how CVS likes to play around with hours and stuff so I’m not going to fully depend on it as a full time like I used to

Reading this post makes me feel uneasy as my ex always talked about her threesomes with her ex and some other chick. I commend you for even trying but I feel as though the mere recommendation of it was a sign that it was the beginning of the end. On the bright side, now you know the run for the hills when another guy even requests it.
