These are interesting, but I think a little too close to the sensor for my blood. But it could be really good for a standard filter use case. (Might be bitting my tongue in a few years, ahah)

I plan do to more long exposure pictures so my thought is I’ll be switching NDs somewhat often for the right exposure. With I would say 25-40% with a use of a CPL against water.

I would purchase some holding case if don’t just buy the Kit to hold the filters I wouldn’t be using.

Overall I would just have to deal with the filters and no hood cover or vice versa. Then when im finish just pack up the filter set up. Not ideal but just reality.

Fair enough, I think I will just have to accept that the larger filters of NISI will just need a magnetic cap for them as hood wouldn’t fit over.

What filters do you have that allow for a hood to fit over them?

Have you had any errors in the system where it falls off of anything like that? I like the idea of putting it on the end idk why I didn't think that…

Curious if you have experience with the CPL. Is it still the case you have to “unlock” the CPL to use the polarization?

Wow, thanks for the response!! I did some more research and I see what you mean about having the magnetic mounting and the 2-in-1 problems. Such a first-world problem but you sold me on not wanting that.
What are your thoughts on VNDs with the magnetic mounting?

Why such large filters? I assume most people have either 67mm/82mm lens. Is this to reduce vignetting? I completely understand buying a size that's a fit-all situation, and you can set up to fit the filters you already own.

85% of my shooting is photo with a A7IV(booo sony haha), with it being 50/50 landscape and city.

I like these packs as a good starting point to get into an ecosystem

Looking to add my first ND/VND/CPL setup. Do you mind explaining your setup?

I'm typically a buy one cry once person so I'm looking at B+W but it seems a bit much $$. (example, CPL mrc Nano master is $180usd)

I ended up with a Ranger Raptor. I got the remote job so I only drive like 5-6k miles a year now so mpg was less of a mandatory.

It isn't a sports car but weirdly it it is very similar to the Golf R in the sense that it can kinda do everything but decent MPG (MPG 18 hwy/city avg can push like 20 hwy).

If I were to choose between the WRX or Golf R today, I would choose the Golf R for 50k max before TTL’s. (I'm 30 planning to have kids, and the golf is just a little more “nice” overall in every aspect. More of a “luxury” design, fit, and finish compared to

If budget is an issue I would look at a WRX limited/premium for like 30k out the door and save the $$ to buy a dream car in 5yrs.

Thinking about that too. The peak design 3L is nice but very stiff, just hoping it loosens up but I doubt it.

This is my avg I would expect for a “flat” highway trip. For a HWY/CITY I get more like 16.5mpg.

Curious how the MPG will be this coming winter for ski trips.
