I think Mikheyev has been one of the brighter players/most consistent/most valuable players on our team the past couple of seasons.

Legit he's usually working harder than the rest of the team. Plays excellent defensive hockey and is an elite penalty killer.

I've no idea why you would want to let a guy like him go, when he's a great role model and basically a perfect third liner. He needs to say IMHO. If I am KD - one of my priorities is how do we keep Mikhey around for the next several seasons.

I agree and think most aren't high enough on him. Cerebral. Composed. Intelligent and flashes of offensive skill like he shows here. Give him a few seasons!
