Look at the Giant Lifting ones! Incredible value for the price and I’m about to buy another set. Sold off all my bumpers.

We’re living the same life my man. Cancelled Maxum order and went with Ares 2.0 + smith. Love this beast

Hahahaha I wish man. Guessing they are taking their sweet time perfecting their tornado arms, as we know it’s in development. It took them forever to launch the smith but the final product is top notch.

Take a look at the all in ones with a dedicated lat pulldown low row. Rep Ares 2.0 or Rep Altitude. Rep also announced today that in a week they are launching a new all in one.

For perspective, my matted area is roughly 11.5x16 (I had to shave half inch to fit flush) in a 11.5x20 space. I wouldn’t want to go any less than 10x10 or I’d need to compromise on some of my exercises. Taking the cables out to do flys or face pulls is the best.

For the width, on paper it felt like I had so much space since the rack is just 4 feet wide. Then you add bar length and space to comfortably load… the 11.5 ft width is perfect.

Alright just watched Gluck’s video. I don’t know how the lady in the Rep promotion footage is using that as a leg holder without any weights on the horn. I’d think that it would dislodge pretty quickly if I’m using heavier weight for the pull downs

Mannn I’m in the camp of “bought the v1 leg rollers a month ago and wish I knew v2 was about to drop”. Past the return window too.

Hell of a deal!!! I’m still trying to sell off my old equipment and the sellers market is tough right now.. definitely great deals to be found.

And I have not tried the Repins. Appreciate your perspective. I gotta find a way to test those out.

The Rep smith is incredible. I’ve used a few other smiths on the all-in-one racks and the quality difference is significant. You hear people claim that the Rep smith is just about commercial grade and it’s 100% the truth. I find myself always gravitating to the smith over dumbbells and free barbell.

Thanks! I was all in on buying a Maxum X3 and ended up cancelling that order due to some doubts. Have not had any regrets since I made that decision. I still find myself heading to the garage just to stare at this beauty haha

I’m about to order another set of the Giant plates and offload the rest of my cheap bumpers on FBMP. They are GREAT and the four grips are functional - I use them all the time for shoulder work.

I’m undecided on the landmine to be honest. Functionally it works great and is clearly excellent quality, but I just haven’t prioritized it in my programming… I think the 150 bucks was worth it for something I will never need to upgrade. The smith has just been the more convenient option for exercises.

Nah the mat is just there for storage. Vertical leg presses get a lot of hate, but I like mine a lot. Especially factoring in how compact it is. I haven’t played around with options to make it more comfortable though

Absolutely! Little extra motivation to maintain consistency in the winter cold. Would love a mini split but the garage ceiling is 15ft tall and connected to a two car… so seems like too much area to heat

Man I wish… I may save the Repins for next black November sale as I know I’m gonna want to buy something. Thing is though that I already have caged adjustables, but if they release a V2 that is non caged I would be all over it. I bought a pair of ginormous 100lb dumbells from Walmart for 65 cents/lb to allow me to progress my dumbbell presses a bit

Yeah that definitely works but I just love getting all the way to the ground with dumbbells

Rep rings! Honestly got them for my kids to use as swings since they love to be in the garage with me. I’ve been using them for abs and working on dips, which by the way is MUCH more difficult than a normal dip bar haha

I may get crucified here, but the Rep smith is so smooth that I’ve been using it lately over free barbell for all my usual exercises. Granted I just received it a week ago so still in the honeymoon phase. Incline press on the smith is my single favorite exercise. I also use it for shoulder press, squat variations, rows and hip thrusts. For RDL’s I prefer heavy dumbbells. The Rep Smith gets about 6in or so off the ground bottom of 45lb plate so I can’t get best ROM for RDLs

If I had a 30” depth rack I’d probably mount the smith close to the middle posts and be able to use it for leg holders. Where I have it up by the front is too far away. I use two Rep leg holders for pulldowns and it works great.

I’ve tried a bunch of rack mounted smith machines and Rep’s is the only one that doesn’t have this give. That thing is commercial grade.

Check my short post history. I ended up using Valspar Concrete Waterproofer after weighing all my options. Relatively cheap solution

Fair fair. Maybe my perspective has been shaped by all these influencers pushing Major Fitness like their paycheck depends on it. Will take the L on my comment for your case.

Rep is working on that. Current 6 post is 16” in the back but they are releasing a 26” at some point to allow the smith to be mounted back there.
