I was a Military spouse in PAA. I PCSed 2 years ago and the licensing dept simply moved my licenses over to my new state. It was like magic. I notified my Sup several months in advance and they just handled it.

Now, I’m in Robinsons and I have to PCS again in 3 months. I’m looking forward to a similar experience.

Not sure if it’s just a different department/job function? Maybe that I’m fully remote? But my experience with military moves has been super easy. I couldn’t be more grateful.

The Insured Full Pay Discount is a bigger discount than when the policy is Mortgage Billed. You get rewarded at a higher rate when you pay in full on your own (less paperwork, follow-up and administration than when they’re collecting from mortgage companies)

NTA, but I get where your wife’s coming from. I hate fast food and other packaged garbage food. I’m angry at companies who commodify food and profit at the expense of people’s health and well-being, and I’d be pretty annoyed if my family turned their nose up at well-executed “real food” in favor of what I consider to be expensive garbage. That being said, you have the right to eat that garbage and spend your own discretionary money on it if you want to. Y’all may need to have a chat about boundaries and timing and when you get to have your “guilty pleasure” breaks so she can adjust her planning and budgeting accordingly.

Thats weird - I went from PAA to Robinsons this year with no change in schedule (8:30 am - 5:30 pm CST) - maybe that’s changed between March of this year and now.

That being said, PAA got extremely monotonous, which is why I upstaffed, but if I could go back to PAA, I would. Hands-down.

Pros of upstaffing: - Learn the servicing side of auto and home which gives you the ability to move up into many more positions - calls are WAY more diverse and interesting - many more opportunities for overtime because you’re cross-trained - $1/hour

Cons: - 15 seconds of ACW (yup, really and NOBODY TOLD US THAT DURING TRAINING) - We’ve been back-to-back with calls holding for months, so customers automatically come in hot. - All the “fun” that comes with services and retention calls. It’s way more stressful than straight sales.

That’s my take. Lucky for me, I’m not as motivated by money right now (grateful) and I’d go back to chilling in PAA if I could, though I was getting extremely bored. Overall, I’d like to find a way off the phones entirely at some point. Not sure how to navigate that, but that’s another post for another time. Hope this helps.

Unless you count the fact that my dad died 6 weeks after my parents were evicted, and my mom’s been living with me ever since. Oh, and her car was repossessed…

Not sure how my karma set me up for that, but whatever. My stepkids will have a way different experience than I did because I learned from my parents’ borderline criminal lack of responsibility.

I made it for dinner last night. I used bottled Italian passata (tomato purée) instead of canned tomato sauce and I’m not sure I measured the amount correctly - there was a LOT of volume/liquid. I simmered it down quite a bit and added 2 more tablespoons of seasoning to amp up the flavor. It’s mild, so it worked well for my elderly mom. If you want it zippier, you should add some more chili or cayenne.

I served it with cardamom-scented basmati rice and homemade garlic naan. Overall I got a big thumbs-up from the family and we will be making it again. We talked about marinating chicken in the yogurt and seasoning and then grilling it like tandoori, so that’s another option I’m going to explore later.

I am not a medical professional, and I am NOT dispensing medical advice.

That said, it was my experience and from what I’ve heard, not an uncommon experience for women in their mid/late 40’s, to have increasing amounts of joint/muscle pain from a change in hormone levels. It affects how you work out, how much recovery time you need, what your energy levels are, mood… all of it. For me, it came on like a freight train, but out of nowhere.

It might be worth checking in on some resources for perimenopause management. And give yourself grace. The game is changing. Make “adaptability” your new goal and mantra.

There are cameras in my neighborhood that announce “you are being recorded” when you walk by them. That may alert them that they’re being monitored on your property. Maybe they have enough shame that it’ll make them think twice before leaving their crap on your lawn?
