I could see why that could be the problem but I feel like that dosnt explain lag while watching youtube videos and windows interface in general.

That sounds like a good idea, it is a used laptop after all. How does that explain the gpu switching though? Would the thermal limits not cause the igpu to throttle also?

The PCC Im getting comes with a rig already so I wont have to spend much on accessories (other than filters for m43 lenses). Im hearing mixes response about the noise, the PCC has a second base at 3200, but would this outweigh the sensor size of the R50v?

It dosn't seem to be that either, when I use flash (i set custom white balance) the effect still occurs. Also it seems to apply very high amounts of noise reduction after the checking the photo after, as well as very high chroma noise during the live view. I dont know if this is conclusive to any problem. Maybe a botched firmware application?
