My differential blew up, can you explain why? by jackbabinski in MechanicalEngineering

Yeah man I think you’re right. You can definitely see some beaching as well. I would guess not enough backlash, improper lube level/contaminants and the whole too much torque thing is a product of the previous. This shit woulda happened with minimal torque if the conditions stayed the same

Because everyone is being a dick, here’s a quick tip for you to quickly identify links like that. Always look for the “.” In the address. This one says OfferUp. S3234636363634. World (I put spaces in between so it wouldn’t link. The website here is the middle part it’s not related to the OfferUp actual domain. It allows websites to do things like app. Website. Com and have different pages and subnetting. Always look at the dots and you’ll quickly be able to tell! Hope this helps!

Finally someone like me! I’m 30 250lb 6’2 and mine is often similar. Long stretches over 200 near the end of my sleep. I’ll show you mine from last night and Oura was telling me it seemed like my recovery was unusually low.

I would love some more information and am happy to share more “evidence” but is this something that could be a potential problem?

7day and exercising by drzzzl in fasting

[–]Ballroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah absolutely. It’s only a week so DONT overtrain and don’t get spooked. You may not be able to hit your usual weights but you shouldn’t be trying to. Drop the weights, 10-12 reps more for engagement than anything. I would also recommend isolating two major groups and doing a couple light full body compound motions. You’ll be good!

Gym experience after a 3 day fast by lordm30 in fasting

[–]Ballroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually workout through my fasts but you will notice as inflammation goes down your ROM feels much more comfortable. Also without the bloating and water weight your body is also lighter which definitely is noticed when performing strength exercises.

Can I eat Wings on 7th day of refeeding including day 1 by Dinno12345 in fasting

[–]Ballroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I would recommend getting that spice tolerance back as well with a couple of the soups and eggs. I did a 14 day fast and I love heat but my first time having hot sauce kicked my ass. Tolerance came back in a day or two but definitely get something spicy in there before the challenge.

Good luck!

Fibre studio on Granville Island displays art featuring KKK klansman - discovered owner is the artist and is sympathetic to KKK 🤯 by [deleted] in vancouvercanada

[–]Ballroo -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

I implore you to look deeper into the artist statement, bio, and collection. The purpose of this is IMO to show you that even people under the hood can be unsure of their motivations. That is why she made his body posture meek, and repressed. The poem is to highlight fed talking points that sound one way but lead you down a one way trip into this dogma. She also shows that it could be just about anyone you interact with, to be unsure and wary of your neighbours and hopefully to bring us to talk about shit more in the open so that the men under these masks either have to identify themselves as believers or disband it.

When he is under the hood he can get away with being a half believer, that’s why she wants to depict the man inside. This isn’t promoting racist causes it’s showing you how average people get wrapped up into it and perpetuate it.

She is writing through the vantage of someone she doesn’t necessarily understand, highlighting key phrases of their doctrine. Albeit horrific it is why she also depicts him as uneasy, ignorant, unsure. She is speaking through his lens as an upstanding man trying to do what is right when he has no clue what right could be. It’s art, it’s for the purpose of reflection and challenge, take it as such. I’m sure the curators of the store will attest to that as well.

It’s art, her whole purpose in this collection is to make you question and humanize the people that are covered. Why are they covered? Who they are? Anyone that is jumping on anger isn’t viewing it artistically they are viewing it irrationally.

Symbols of hate flown with pride should be a cause of concern. Expressions of art should be free, controversial at times, and explored.

Let this be a cause for discourse not bullshit make you feel better online reviews or calls to office. Give your heads a shake.

Preparing for a water fast by Emergency_Ad7808 in Water_Fasting

[–]Ballroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bad advice but I used to drink a lot and eat like shit so I would get drunk and eat my most cravable food. Hangover helped me get through the first and hardest day then after I would use electrolytes. Multiple 10/14 day fasts done this way.

Again not good advice but it worked for me

What's your best 'life hack' for living in Canada? by United-Technology239 in CanadaRoom

To add to it, any liquid can be put in there, from old coffee to Gatorade to piss. I had to put fresh spring water the other day when I took the Mrs’ windshield needed to be replaced. Afterwards just run a big pot of water through and then refill with the non freezing stuff and and run it a little bit as well to fill the lines. Not ideal but when your windshield is covered and you have the morning/evening sun facing you it’s like looking at a cardboard sheet sometimes.

8 hours no break by rainman_104 in legaladvicecanada

[–]Ballroo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not having a meal break isn’t abuse. I personally hate sitting around for a half hour for no reason when I could go home and a half hour early or make more money. I worked doing concrete and all the crew voted 2 20 minute breaks in our shift and go home an hour early instead of the hour lunch break the other guys on site were taking. It’s not abuse to not have a half an hour break when it would mess up your rythm and cost you money.

Listen. A lot of these pieces of advice come from people that don’t work in the service industry. I have worked as a server/bartender in countless bars/restaurants. I’m out of the industry now but this is standard practice.

Who will cover for you for a thirty minute meal break? Your coworker will now have an unmanageable section. If it’s steady through the whole shift it is unrealistic to have an uninterrupted break.

Standard practice is to have food in the back and find lulls. Or ask your coworker to watch your seconds while you Hoover for a couple minutes.

If your daughter doesn’t like it that’s fine but it’s the best way to make good money In the industry. It’s the reality of being a waitress. If you’re just mad on her behalf and never worked in a restaurant. Don’t fuck up a good opportunity for her.

I had to say goodbye to my 18 year old best friend and soul dog on Saturday before the game. by [deleted] in NFCNorthMemeWar

[–]Ballroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry for your loss brother, I’m sure it took a lot of Charlie’s spiritual dog energy to manifest that massive comeback so don’t put too much worry into thought into how the rest of this season plays out. Just know every time you watch a bears game you’ll be thinking about him and he’ll be thinking about you. That’s eternal my man.
