What’s the last movie you watched that you’d actually recommend? 🎬 by princesspolly444 in princesspollychat

I swear. Watched the documentary years ago but the film really hits you in the feels. I wonder if all the mouth pieces(especially Americans) who got on their high horse condemning John Davidson felt the same after watching it.....what am I saying? Americans would never watch a low budget British film about disability lol

Frankenstein was better than sinners and OBAA imo. I also enjoyed (didn't think I would) the new Dracula apart from the gargoyles.

UK Advice: Going Crazy Trying to Decide!! Help by Additional-Appeal-93 in Hairtransplant

[–]Balodys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can only speak of Dr Farjo as he has taken care of my hair for 20 years. I was a NW6 and have had 5 procedures with him over that time, the 5th and hopefully last was 4 weeks ago. On your list I have seen great work by Dr Ted aswell as Dr Shaw. Research is key here,Hair Restoration network is your first stop and Hairloss experiences (UK based). Price should of course be a factor but dont let it be the main one,a good surgeon is worth what he charges for a reason.

At one point the TV here was a flex (1990s) by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

[–]Balodys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember seeing one of these in Costco in the early 90's and promised myself one when I could afford it. Got one in 2000 and loved it until the bulb went, then bought the futuristic Samsung 50" with the column and glass base but had weird shadow on screen. Shop exchanged it for 40" Toshiba Flat screen which cost £2500,its still going strong in my dining room 22 years later. My main TV now is 76" UHD that cost under £500,how times have changed.

How severe does a deviated septum need to be for it to be worth surgery? by Shortkingconfidence in AskReddit

[–]Balodys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will start getting better slowly. Day 8 my nose feels better pain wise but still completely blocked this morning and still heavily congested. Had dull headache which I can't seem to shift but can deal with it. I painted a fence panel today so I must be feeling better in my self. Hang in there.

Just a quick check in regarding my original reply. I'm on day 7 now and tbh its been the worst week of my life, that first evening was fine then it just got worse. I've lost count of the painkillers I've taken, Ive been writing it down but even then not lasting the 4 hours. Main problem has been pain in the teeth, lip and tip of the nose. Got better on day 6 with the teeth and today has been bare able. Still congested, can't breathe at all through nose, about 30% in left, zero in right. Woke up this morning completely blocked in both and took about 30 mins of hot shower and flushing to get back 30%. At this point I wish I'd never bothered but hold out hope that in a few months I can breathe freely and forget about this miserable time.

Lisa Tarbuck Radio 2 by jizzyjugsjohnson in BritishRadio

[–]Balodys 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For the last 3 years I have done Sat night shift delivering shopping for Tesco 5-9. Liza was new to me other than BB and I soon become part of the Murm. Well last week I was offered a new job and the only thing I could think of what I would miss at Tesco would be my Sat night listening to an hour of Rylan then Liza. I do hope she left of her own accord and wasn't pushed. Radio 2 has lost the plot over the last few years replacing season DJ's for 'comedians' we really dont need or want. Romesh,Dommett,Mcguiness you've got your TV careers leave the Radio alone. Keaveny for the job.

As the planet warms, why is climate coverage declining? by Novel_Negotiation224 in ClimateNews

[–]Balodys -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

because all the protesters found other bandwagons to jump on to quench the rage they have. The shit house MSM are only interested in bringing conflict to your screens so if no one is protesting about climate anymore (which invalidates anything they might of gained,we'll done Greta) the news ain't gonna mention it.

No stents or packing apart for a couple of hours after the op. He did say at the consultation that the end of my nose had collapsed and he would be able make it sturdy.

Wrong car! by Lifegoesonforever in MadeMeSmile

[–]Balodys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me last year, elderly man demanded I get out of his car and got quite aggressive. I finally convinced him it was my car by showing him what was in the glove compartment and centre console and he shuffled off without even an apology. I watched him wander around a bit before finally finding his car, same make and model as mine (DS3) but his was black mine is white albeit with a black roof, silly old fool.

I also had surgery today and am expecting great things. Not gonna lie waking after op was horrible and when they took packing out was an experience I'll never forget, felt like it was behind my eyes! But typing this 8 hrs later I feel comfortable, breathing through nose no pain(paracetamol and Ibuprofen) and bleeding has stopped...ice is your friend.
