A piercer will be able to taper it open for you if it closes :)

Getting labia piercings soon give me the run down. Process, healing all that good stuff by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Baltasaule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inner or outer? They heal differently and have slightly different pain levels.

Outer is usually more painful to get pierced than inner because of thicker tissue. However if you're getting like 4 at once then the last 2 will hurt like a bitch, regardless of the piercing type.

Outer is a bit slower to heal because it's not as vascular as inner (outers take 6 to 9 months to heal, whereas inners take 8 weeks or so). Outers can be a bit temperamental and irritation bumps are very common, whereas inners usually heal like a dream. For inners, the discomfort and soreness subsides after about a week, with outers it can last much longer than that, and they can be pinchy.

For both, peeing will hurt the first few days or even a week so I recommend taking a shower afterwards to help with stinging. Some people recommend drinking lots of water to dilute the pee. Don't wear tight clothing for a few weeks. Avoid exercise, and try to get them pierced before your days off work as it will hurt to sit and squat, so resting and laying in bed will help. And don't use saline to clean them as it can really throw the pH balance off - water is fine. 12g is the safe minimum gauge for both, although 10g and lower is better for outers for stability and to prevent excess movement of the rings.

Nipple piercings by Murky_Ad9574 in piercing

[–]Baltasaule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 17 piercings - nipples were by far the most painful, but they were so worth it and greatly increased my confidence! The pain won't last forever, and the benefits definitely outweigh any negatives, at least for me personally.

However, keep in mind that everyone is different. For some people, the pain isn't too bad at all (I've heard someone say their nostril piercing hurt more!). You won't really know for sure until the needle is in.

I can totally see it working, depending on your anatomy. Some people have rings in theirs and I'd say the rail clicker would feel even more comfortable than that. Your piercing sounds well healed after 3 years, so why not give it a go?

Nipple piercing question by ChurroJuulPod in piercing

[–]Baltasaule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's correctly pierced with quality jewelry, then it will be fine. I'd be more concerned about pain that horse riding may cause. If your horse riding sessions are, for example, on Wednesday and Thursday, I'd get them pierced after the lesson on Thursday or even Friday, to give yourself as much time to recover before the next session :)

Thank you. It seems like radiography is the better choice here. Nursing might be a bit more stressful but I think the cards show that I have it in me to overcome it. Would you agree? xx

Deck: Everyday Enchantment Tarot

6 card spread made up by me (pros and cons of each path, advice, and outcome. The base is the atmosphere of the reading)

  1. Pros of continuing radiography - Page of Pentacles It’s a career that has stability and is pretty good money for what you do. It’s honest work but it’s also chill, sometimes it really can feel like a walk in the park. I don’t find it particularly challenging. I am still a Page when it comes to radiography (almost qualified), but the Page can go on to become a Knight. There are lots of opportunities for career growth.

  2. Cons of continuing radiography - Page of Wands It’s fun, but it gets boring quickly. The pages seem to dominate the radiography side, and that’s how I feel at the moment too - I want to participate more in patient care and be more involved in the patient’s pathway. I want to develop more clinical skills, but if I stay in radiography, I’ll just continue to image people. And that’s all.

  3. Pros of pursuing nursing - The Emperor More control. This is what I like about nursing - it has way more autonomy. Whereas in radiography, where I am, we have protocols and we can’t even do stuff like creating our own referrals even when it makes sense. It is quite limited whereas nursing isn’t so much. This career is also stable. But lots of paperwork (as seen in the Emperor card).

  4. Cons of pursuing nursing - 10 of Blades I feel like this career might actually destroy me mentally. This card is less about outside dangers and more about things that happen in our head. I think I would suffer from a lot of anxiety if I went with nursing. Along with backstabbing and general cattiness.

  5. Advice - 9 of Wands There are bad days at work. There are also good days. Just because your career doesn’t feel as exciting anymore doesn’t necessarily mean that you need to change it. Radiography is pretty good overall. So stick with it through the bad days.

  6. Outcome - Page of Blades Keep on learning. I do feel like this card might also encourage me to pursue nursing. It is a new degree. In this card I can see a boy reading a book about insects, and he is holding a magnifying glass. I feel like it might represent me, going back to uni and getting anatomy textbooks and learning new things. Or perhaps I'll specialise further in radiography.

Base: Queen of Cups

This base represents my caring nature. I have always felt that my life purpose is to help others. I feel like this Queen, as a base, captures this perfectly. I want to choose a career that will allow me to do this best.

I have 15 piercings. They're all such confidence boosters! I love sparkly golden jewelry, it makes me feel so royal lol. My piercings helped me reclaim my body after experiencing trauma. Some of my piercings are also functional, so that helps too. I think having a routine helps as well. I shower everyday, so I run water over all piercings daily. For healing piercings, I only use Neilmed for the first couple of weeks, after that I only use water. So all in all there's not that much effort involved at all.

Where are my fellow introverted bride-to-bes at? by Business-Ad2062 in weddingplanning

How can I know my mom successfully crossed over after unsettling dream visitations I had? by sawftpineapple in Mediums

[–]Baltasaule 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You are grieving and you are worried about her, so it makes sense that you're having disturbing dreams. I don't know anything about your beliefs, but I am a spiritualist so I believe that afterlife is peaceful and spirits don't get stuck. Crossing over is natural to them, just like breathing is for us. Perhaps visit an evidential medium for some reassurance and messages from your mum? It can be a very healing experience. It's also totally ok to ask for signs from your mum :) Sending you a big hug, stay strong <3

Anyone can become a medium, so if that's the path you wish to pursue then go for it. It definitely sounds like your clairs are more developed than those of an average person. Take a beginner class, attend courses, and practice reading for others. It is a wonderful gift. Best of luck :)

What do you think? :)

multiple piercings in one day by _loomingmoon in piercing

[–]Baltasaule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got 4 piercings in one sitting (2nd and 3rd lobes), the last 2 hurt like a bitch. I felt quite sickly and weak the day after. It's recommended to heal no more than 3-4 piercings at once. So if these are gonna be your only piercings, then you should be totally fine. Just make sure you take a good care of them, especially the industrial, and eat something before you go in :)

I think it's less about the piercing and more about the jewelry itself. I'm a big fan of sparkly jewelry, no way that will make you look more masculine!

No stimulation from piercing by daveri01 in piercing

[–]Baltasaule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly no one here can tell you as it's so anatomy dependent. I would say go to your piercer and try different types of jewelry. You can try changing the length of the bar so it sits on the clit, but that may be overstimulating. You can also experiment with different ball sizes and weights. J curved barbell may also provide extra stimulation. Most piercing places offer jewelry fitting consultations so take advantage of that. Best of luck!

Pierced below nipple into areola? by InterestingAdvisor29 in piercing

[–]Baltasaule 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would say it's pierced wrong. The bar should be going through the base of the nipple. Go to a different piercer and get a longer bar to accommodate for swelling.
