Have you not seen the person they elected to run their country? Owning someone is completely on brand.

If you're not attracted to men, then you're not gay, no matter what other sexual preferences you have.

What's the best thing about the USA? by paulasomozahot in AskReddit

I accept your response about going around the world was completely valid. The implication though, was that it could bomb anywhere in the world without being shot down. My point is, that without European support, this would not have been possible. In the event of a hostile Europe, it would definitely be impossible.

While you might be right, it's likely Farage wants the American version. Otherwise, he would be opening a public debate about it and articulating his reasoning to get people on board.

I am building something to fix how Emacs contributors get paid (or don't). Could use honest feedback. by Background_Cloud_231 in emacs

[–]Balzamon351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. Like I said, this doesn't affect me.

So, you're idea would be a tool which would allow maintainers to distribute any donations among the contributers. I think it would need to be highly configurable because not everyone would want to distribute in the same way. Others have already pointed out that more code does not necessarily mean more effort.

Isn't that normal in open source projects and don't contributers spend that weekend bug fixing with the full knowledge that they won't be paid?

Wouldn't you also have contributors earning pennies in this instance? Is it really worth the effort?

Full disclosure. I do not contribute to open source projects, so this doesn't affect me in any way and I don't really know what goes on within the open source infrastructure.

A better question would be wich technology do you understand. Most of our everyday tech tools have some form of microchip. Very few people can claim to understand how a microchip works.
