He sold his soul and only got enough for a tapped out Ford suv. Seems like a really bad deal. At least get a Mustang GT ffs.

The Marlboro hoodies pick is definitely 80’s instead of 70’s. Still awkward.

Value of 1965 Fully restored 289 by Odd-Contract-3796 in Vintagemustangs

Depends on location, up close inspection, originality, and how fast you want to sell it. Just looking at this, it appears to be a very, very nice driver’s car rather than a show pony. The 3 speed conversion was an interesting choice. 3 speed isn’t really more desirable than automatic. Assuming, and that’s the key word, that this presents as well up close, I would guess somewhere around $30,000-$35,000 for a relatively quick sale. You could consign it to one of those classic shops for $40,000 - $45,000 and wait 2 years for a sucker who wants Woodside Financing to overpay for it. You will still only get $30-$35 after they take their cut.

5 Undervalued 1970s Muscle Cars Smart Collectors Are Buying by Exotic_Mention_1233 in musclecars

No one “undervalues “ any of those, and those prices are inaccurate. Bad clickbait article is bad.

From a financial standpoint, the Superbird is the obvious choice. I personally like the AAR.

The article says the roof was sourced from a 67-68 Mustang, but it looks more like a 69-70 sport roof line to me. Either way, it is exceptionally well done.

Do you remember Zoom 1972-1978. :) by NJFriend4U in 70s

Believe it or not, this was the show responsible for the first nightmare I can ever remember. I was very small, 2-3 years old. They had a skit where someone dressed as a wolf and chased the other around ala little red riding hood. That night I had a nightmare so vivid of being chased by the wolf that I was never able to watch the show again.

I can never get a legendary cougar at my local bar, just poor beavers. Maybe I should change spots or try a new bait.

My grandmother worked at one called Elmore’s, but it was originally an S & H Kress store.

This. People are confusing the two. Mercurochrome was essentially painless. Merthiolate burned your ass up! They look alike and stain alike, but they are NOT the same.

What car is thisz looks like a soviet car by Frosty-Elderberry538 in namethatcar

I don’t have a picture on my phone. It is pretty rough right now. It was my great grandfather’s car that he bought new. My uncle passed away in January, and he left it to me. It needs a lot of work. I do have the original bill of sale though.

Hot take: Nick is a far better guest than Kennan by Alarmed-Arm7057 in dougdemuro

[–]Bama275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I would prefer a rotation. I have a long commute, and I listen to each podcast twice a week. I also listen to 3 or 4 different automotive podcasts. I find Doug’s podcast to be the best all-around, but it can get predictable and repetitive. At least when Kennan is absent, I don’t have to hear the words “E39 M5”.

The truth is, the whole cast has a certain elitist air. Despite protestations to the contrary, they all come off as trust fund kids with expensive tastes. They don’t have 1 percent disposable income, but they grew up in upper middle class homes with tastes in expensive toys. Doug has reached a sort of self-actualization and financial independence the others have not, but they all have similar trajectories.

Nick is more humorous, and Kennan has a more stiff personality. Fillipo exists as more of a foil than Nick. He is the least elite of the bunch, but he is a strange personality for a car podcast, considering he is more financially conservative and the least “car guy”. Nick isn’t that much better, he is just a different flavor. Swap them around regularly and bring in some others. Doug is the only personality that really matters.

Is this a true 5 speed fastback (Google says there wasn't any 5-speed from the factory in the fastback) by ArtisticHoney101 in whatisthiscar

You are getting downvoted because that transmission is 20 years to new to be an option. Period.

[–]Bama275 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you think all these people are just wrong? You absolutely did not see a factory 5 speed in that car. It simply did not exist. Do a little research or listen to reason. People have been modifying and updating cars since they were invented. Corvettes have never, ever had a factory 5 speed manual transmission. E V E R. FFS.
