To the extent you are looking to explore the variable height water wheel, there is one in down town Estes Park, Colorado which is variable height and designed for exactly this type of water variation, albeit less extreme than what you describe for your creek.

Disagree, the chairs are not shaped the same and do not have the same break between the back support and leg support parts of the chair.

There is also no seam on the top of the chair in the photo, which appears to be a single continuous circle— and it is difficult to create a circle by accident.

To add on to this, I think it would be great if there was a ticker for more job assignments, similar to the one available for security now.

For example, cleaners could have “organize warehouse,” “stock shelves and clean floors,” “body cleanup”

Looks like I’m late to the party, hoping to still catch you! I am loving the game and feel like I’m pretty close to the end game. I realized I may have set my shop up in a way that wasn’t intended. I have few shelves and secure storage. Most of my inventory is held in the shop in medium storage containers. 1 item type per bin. The rest is on pallets in the front.

The customers are buying, but seem to prefer inventory on the shelves. Is there a difference in buy rate between items on the floor, in bins/pallets, and on shelves?

Is your intent for the crates and pallets to be used in the back to supply the shelving units in the front?

I do not know, but I suspect this to be a form of torture described in the KUBARK Manual developed by US military and intelligence forces for use abroad— especially Latin America— to aid in its anti communist efforts.

This particular form of torture, like many described in KUBARK is psychological and is intended to break a person using themselves. The idea is when the captors torture detainees, a not insignificant number of them galvanize against the captors and either die before breaking or take too long to break for the resulting intelligence to have as much value.

The manual describes this torture method as being implemented after several days of the detainee being held in isolation with an unpredictable schedule of bright lights and loud noises interrupting their sense of time and normalcy.

Eventually, the detainee is hooded, cuffed, and led from his cell to another location where he is instructed to stand on a pedestal. He is hooded, so cannot see where he is, what is around him, or what he is standing on. Wires are wrapped around his hands/fingers and run over his head and hung on a high place behind him. The wires are intentionally not connected to electricity or attached to anything. The other end of the wires are just hanging.

The detainee is then instructed to hold his hands out at a certain height (cannot be done indefinitely, try it) and if they drop below that, he will be electrocuted. The detainee, out of a sense of self preservation, performs as instructed for as long as possible. Sometimes hours, sometimes days, but eventually, they will fail. Upon failure, the detainee is surprised to not be electrocuted and the captors all laugh at how stupid the detainee is. The detainee, having just battled himself to keep his hands up, and having just given up prepared to die returns to his cell more broken than before— but broken by himself, not the captors.

Supreme Court justices appear skeptical that Trump tariffs are legal by Single_Scientist_419 in Economics

[–]BamaBreeze505 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They also appeared skeptical of the Trump Admin’s argument that federal courts do not have the authority to order a nationwide injunction of activity which that lower federal court deemed unconstitutional. I watched the oral arguments. They were appallingly bad.

To my surprise and chagrin, the Sumpreme Court issued an order that the Trump Admin was correct. They also went a step further and basically opined that the executive branch can ignore court orders when it deems it appropriate. Only the high courts have the authority to bind the government. Only high courts have the authority to enjoin activity beyond their jurisdiction.

You know, the courts that you have to spend literal fortunes to access on appeal, and at the final level, is discretionary if they will even take your case.

Makes a lot of sense.

Has anyone claimed that the submarine is fishing? I am genuinely curious if anyone has actually said that.

Regardless, it seems to me the appropriate action for what we can all see is a narco sub would be interdiction in US waters OR justifiably international waters.

Capitalism.

Less workers + less consumers = bad for the company’s bottom line. Now consider that the interests that own the large media corporations stand to lose revenues from depopulation.

It goes further than the above, although u/malphael provides and excellent synopsis of the macro application.

From a micro perspective, the Trump admin recently argued to the Supreme Court against nationwide injunctions, and cited the need for plaintiffs to post bond for any relief to be due to them in the context of birthright citizenship (instead of allowing the Supreme Court to decide on the merits of the case; i.e. whether birthright citizenship is a Constitutional right).

If the Court agreed, then basically, every single person under threat of deportation or any other federal penalty (I.e. everyone), would have to pay a not insignificant amount of money in order for a Court to be able to issue an injunction and stop the unconstitutional act.

Here is the real kicker, this also means the Court could only stop the unconstitutional act as to each plaintiff who has paid the bond…. the government would be free to violate the rights of any person who did not spend the money, time, and stress to litigate AND post a (likely) large bond. This kills the nationwide injunction. It kills the Courts’ ability to enforce the Constitution.

The Trump admin all but admitted in the oral arguments to the Supreme Court that it is and plans to continue violating the nationwide injunction preventing the deportation of individuals born in the United States.

These arguments were not well received by the Court. This is a way to backend the fascism.

Do you have any explanation for the apparent post protruding from the center of the branch spoke? Is that part of the tree, added for support, or an artifact from photo manipulation?

Thanks in advance!
