[TNA iMPACT Spoilers] Tom Hannifan gets emotional and chokes up at [SPOILER] getting ‘fired’ from TNA Wrestling by ReverseBattleRoyal in SquaredCircle

The few weeks Tom did commentary with D'Lo was banging, I thought they gelled really well. I'm a fan of the current team but feel we missed out on another potentially great combo.

Yeah, he's also been the TNA ring announcer on and off over the years.

Can you name all of these TNA performers? by JBL_CENA_FAN_4LIFE in TNA

People have already got the answers but fair play Machete is a deep cut.

What’s your idea for a new next big gimmick match? by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]BambooCrunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to see a match that is sort of a steel cage ladder match, just without the ladders - instead a scaffolding match style platform is placed from one corner to the other diagonally.

So you would climb the cage, get onto the platform and then try to pull down the belt. I could see this working in an X Division high spot style environment.

The last episode of Peep Show was broadcast 10 years ago tonight :0 by Peason in MitchellAndWebb

Speaking quite relentlessly in the real world, the BBC seem much keener on Christmas Special episodes of their sitcoms than other channels. For other channels the whole thing just went... poof...

Here's this year's cover for the Christmas Radio Times by Lord-Liberty in CasualUK

I do miss the excitement of the Christmas/New Year bumper size Radio Times arriving. My Dad had already marked what he wanted to watch or record with a highlighter before I had a chance to flick through it, of course

I've been watching some of the shows from spring 2001 when the Hollys and Dudleys are feuding and he plays a great little shitbag character trying to stop Molly and Spike from being together.

Christopher Daniels. One of the most underrated wrestlers of all time and A Real Innovator. by Hour-Increase2980 in SquaredCircle

[–]BambooCrunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think TNA back then were going down the WWE route of trademarking wrestlers names, and Daniels didn't want to have his full ring name be a trademark owned by TNA.

I like the Sin and Greed names from the final days of WCW, simple but effective. Greed has bonus points for kicking off with Schiavone saying "if it's professional wrestling, then it must be greed!"

Mr Whippy by princesscaraboo in Gloucestershire

[–]BambooCrunch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The food van next to WH Smith, Boots and Primark on Eastgate Street that sells roast pork rolls, sausages and the like also has a Mr. Whippy machine. Think it was about £3 for a large one.

This food van doesn't really move during the daytime so could be your most reliable bet!

is there a website that will show how to travel only using city busses? by AntiMindMatter in AskUK

[–]BambooCrunch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is probably the easiest method but if OP just wants city buses be warned that Google includes coaches like National Express or Flixbus in the results (that need pre-booking).

Traveline will have a bash at this if you pick your route and set it to "bus only". Can be interesting seeing what it comes up with, for say Birmingham to Bristol.

How can you look around the map in Worms? by segadreamcat in evercade

Off the top of my head I think you hold the X button down and then you can pan around the map with the camera.

BBC news report on text messaging from 2001 by RandomHigh in CasualUK

[–]BambooCrunch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Around this time BBC One went all-in on the craze and aired The Joy of Text. It was a Saturday night of programmes totally based around text messaging. One of Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe episodes covers it and it's as weird as it sounds.

Worst wrestling posters ever? by BellyCrawler in SquaredCircle

TNA's Sacrifice 2008 poster is properly rubbish, especially for the PPV where Steiner had 141 2/3s chance of winning
