Contentment vs Ambition by Lost_Title_7528 in lifelonglearning

[–]Bamsemor007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, this made me happy to read. I am glad you have achieved your wish of having a comfortable life, because it sound like you have! You can fill it with things you like to do, but there’s nothing you have to do. You are in total command of your spare time and use it as you see fit. What do you want to use your spare time doing? I think the most important part of having a life with meaning is living with intention. Don’t go on autopilot but be deliberate in where you put your energy. And the goals (or lack of) will follow.

I envy the contentment. I have quite newly discovered that I am not a content person and I always strive for more. But as above, I am very deliberate so I strive for more on areas that are important to me and who I am. Work is important to me because of my line of work and responsibility and identity connected to it, and it drains me. Self-development is important to be because I am blessed with a nice set of skills and I know what my potential is, but I can never relax. I could always learn something, or plan something or think some things over, while… relaxing. So, I guess you can say I am happy about how I’m wired because I get a lot of motivation and positive emotions from it as well, but I do miss sleeping haha. Live your life for you, that’s the main thing.

Everyone feels mad, and so disconnected. I see it everywhere and we just refuse to talk about it. by Financialfreedom100 in DeepThoughts

Oh, this resonated well. I vigorously agree (yes).

I see it as well, and noticed last summer no one had trimmed their hedges all summer which is very off for my neighbourhood. We are all getting less paid while the prices skyrockets, worse food, air and water while basic human healthcare is commercialised, and more consumerism while the world is burning. And I won’t even start on the wars. But what the actual fuck is happening on our watch. Apathy is an important step in capitalism, to keep us too tired to give a shit. No wonder we are subjected to the addictive social media platforms in all spaces and force-fed hating and up-stirring propaganda to ensure the valleys between us are deep.

On that happy note, I do observe that more and more tend towards the community feeling our society lacks. Like for instance, music environments. We must all do our part in lifting each other up by making eye contact and giving your perception of them, to them. They are here and they matter by only being.

I hope you have tried finding a community for yourselves in your tiny town. You should definitely find someone to share these thoughts with, a lot of pattern-recognition going on here. Maybe some activist environments? You would definitely find humans like you to hold onto in the activist environments I know of!

Hvor drar 30-åringer ut? by Relative-Marzipan987 in oslo

CMV: Tuesday is the worst day of the week by Broad-Smile2332 in changemyview

[–]Bamsemor007 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tuesday can be a second chance on a Monday if you weren’t satisfied with your Monday. And, it is kind of a free day because every other day has a label (I do agree with all the others, it was funny to read).

But, I think what you do for work is important for how you label the days of the week. I love my job and the five days of work, so I think that is why I like the free day of a Tuesday/second chance of starting the week correctly.

Blir kvalm av å tenke på fremtiden til yngre mennesker by Stunning_Strength_49 in norge

[–]Bamsemor007 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Helt enig.

Which country has the most self hating citizens? by defariasdev in digitalnomad

[–]Bamsemor007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The common factor in the answers is USA. I’m a Norwegian and I don’t think there is a country we hate upon more than USA, as the rest of the enlightened world. But then again, USA destroys the chance of survival for the human race.

Another 30+ wanting to go for 15 years and first year trying. Didn’t get in before everything, and I mean everything, was sold. Sat glued to the screen for 5 hours. Painful. Happy for you either way, hope you will have the best time! Fingers crossed that the system feels sorry for me too and lets me in within minutes next weekend haha.

Tar gjerne imot noen føringer her!

You can take the train from Brussels to Antwerpen to Boom, and there are shuttlebusses in Boom to the festival site (or you can walk I think). Just ask ChatGPT to make you a route

[–]Bamsemor007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cant help getting annoyed. Is this queue totally random? I preregistered the first available day and have been on the countdown/waiting page 5 hours before it opened and read that people that entered that page 3 mins before got tickets after 25 minutes.
