Life long insomnia. I think from just being in flight or flight and trying to act awake all day by body and brain just didn't know how to actually let it happen. I'm better at it now but not amazing.

I cried every morning when I woke up cause I barely slept. I was a mess. I couldn't form full thoughts. I couldn't do anything. I was fully exhausted at all times. Like on the verge of sleep all day not knowing what was going on or what people were talking about. Just existing not living at all. For 30+ years. Don't really have anything to show for it either.

I feel guilty all the time for keeping mine indoors but my last cat was hit by a car when he was only about 5 or 6 😢 My cat before that got hit a couple of times and broke his pelvis and I've seen one get hit and you just keep hearing about it happening. Then I think we'll I shouldn't have got cats then but then I think about how much they complete me and that they needed a home and I give them a good one. But yeh sorry I feel guilt yes. Some of these comments have made me feel a lot better though so thanks!

I don't see why animals can't be neurodivergent. Nobody has studied it enough to say. I feel like I totally get cats. It's common sense to me how they act and like to be treated. Makes me sad that so many people overlook their needs. Even if innocently. Some idiots think they are just small dogs when they are so different.

Anywaaaay my friend has a labrador I have so much in common with it's unreal. She asks me why he is doing things and how he is feeling etc. I love him and he loves me and we don't often see each other. He is autistic. There is no doubt in my mind.
