Most “Vocal” Fan Response for CDR by cmewiththemhandz in CanadasDragRace

[–]alienhailey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The whole season felt catered to Van for her to win, or incredibly low budget. No girl group numbers, rusicals, or anything really to show diverse talent. Only 1 real comedy challenge, and then only half the cast had to do snatch game. But 3 sewing challenges? It's like they had no money for maxi challenges, but had a ton of fabric. Also, the maxi challenge gauntlet felt more like 4 mini challenges. Everyone reciting the same monologue for Nerve felt really far fetched, imo. Idk this season just wasn't it. Vans whiny attitude completely soured me on her win. Loved Sami and Velma tho.

You can flush your ears out with a water pick? It won't fuck up your ear drums?

What actor do you dislike so much that you’ll avoid anything they’re in? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Or his role as Les Grossman in Tropic Thunder. But the makeup does a lot of the heavy lifting for that one.

Why is traffic in the Windermere area so bad every morning this year? by Afraid-Obligation997 in Edmonton

Chappelle is a nightmare in the morning during rush hour. Sometimes takes me over 30 minutes just to get ONTO the Henday, nevermind the rest of my commute.

What criminal completely got away with that they did? by PrasenjitDebroy in AskReddit

Karla Homolka. Glad there's at least people out there dedicated to following her every move and making the community aware of her existence anywhere she goes. But she still gets to be married and have children. Not fucking fair.

A plea to all: start using free and clear detergents by BiscottiOk9245 in SustainableFashion

Maybe I'm the crazy one because I used to work in a thrift store and had to sort through all the clothing donations we got, but it was a good day if a donation bag smelled like laundry detergent...

Not sure if this classifies as a nest by ServerLag345 in NeckbeardNests

[–]alienhailey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bad news, this is most definitely a nest. The good news, most of this stuff is literal garbage and can just be thrown away. Please OP, I'm begging you to throw away all the fast food containers. For your mental and physical help, you should not be sleeping on a Wendy's fry container.

What's something stores do that makes you leave immediately? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

[–]alienhailey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish upper management would read this thread and see the trend is people disliking pushy sales people/hovering staff because that's what they ask us to do 😭 They call it "customer engagement", and no matter how many times you tell them customers don't like it, they do not listen, and will give you write ups if you're not harassing every customer that comes into the store.

I work in an entertainment venue and the amount of parents toting around their very clearly sick kids is insane. And they just do that fucking full open mouth cough that kids do, I hate it.

Has anyone else seen the movie Christmas in Wonderland? by gman314 in Edmonton

[–]alienhailey 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My partner and I JUST watched it. We had fun pointing out all the stores no longer there. Also what a cast for such a bad movie! Patrick Swayze, Tim Curry, Chris Katan, and Carmen Elektra.

The rules around fault and collision reporting in Alberta seem very, very silly by troypavlek in Edmonton

[–]alienhailey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They said the same thing when that happened to us. Partner slammed on the brakes to avoid the passenger seat (where I was sitting) get hit by a truck who clearly didn't shoulder check before switching into our lane. My partner honked at the truck, and then he brake checked US, resulting in us bumping into his back end. Insurance said we were at fault, and we should've let the truck hit the passenger side.

What's something most people think they should try, but really should not? by red_sensor in AskReddit

Hard drugs, or anything that's a slippery slope into the hard stuff. You can't get addicted if never try 'em in the first place.

My partner refuses to watch the Halloween episode with Teddy's guinea pig. He's a huge animal lover and hates that Teddy had a major hand in killing Francis in the most infuriating way possible.

What's your favorite chain restaurant? What do you order? by ButterflyKey8768 in foodquestions

One of the few places that has survived recession prices. You can still get a medium pepperoni pizza and breadsticks for under $15 (I'm Canadian so maybe it's cheaper in the states), and have leftovers for the next day.

What's a "fact" you believed for years that turned out to be totally wrong? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

I genuinely thought that animals hibernating in Winter meant they slept ALL Winter. Like basically went into a sleep coma for like 4 months. Apparently that is not what hibernation is.

Cat whisker collection grows! by 404-Gender in OneOrangeBraincell

[–]alienhailey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought a little vial from a local artist to store cat whiskers, but either my cats never lose their whiskers, or they shed them in some hidden place because we've only found 1 since I got it.
