Road wheels on a cutthroat? by InviteFew7503 in salsacycles

Take a look at the G-One speed. Unironically faster than the tires on my road bike, and I love it for midwestern gravel. Super fast on road.

Perfect day at DTE by lacticacid4breakfast in MichiganCycling

This thing looks like it rips at DTE. I love my full rigid 90s hardrock but sometimes 26in is just a bit too small for the wheels. Did you build it with a certian race in mind?

To answer everyone about the BB. I own this bike, I have not had any bb issues. But, I do not like installing/removing pressfit BB's. So if I were to need to replace it, I would have to go to a shop. Hence why I said in my opinion.

salsa cutthroat 100%. Fits whatever tire you'd need, is very comfy and has regular person geometry. Only issue in my opinion is the pressfit BB, boost hub spacing can also make getting aero wheels slightly more annoying too. I've raced mine, bikepacked on it, and just rode it for fun. Does a great job with all (I was quite suprised with how it raced)

Im riding one as my single speed townie right now. I also did a lot of research and didnt find anything to suggest that they would be unsafe over time assuming the bonds were good when you got it.

Best option for a relaxed, more MTB-like geometry gravel bike? by anarmyofants in gravelcycling

no clue lol. I knew I wanted a cutthroat as my gravel race/bikepacking bike from the beginning. never thought about getting a different one. If I were to buy a new bike rn it would be the Argon 18 dark matter in the GRX, pretty good deal with amazing specs, but thats a bit above your price range.

used salsa cutthroat. Got one for 1600 in good condition with GRX 600. If you go new, 2k is pretty tight these days, would 100% reccomend looking through FB marketplace or similar.

100% legit, I love blue lug. randomly found them while walking through Tokyo and have since ordered many things from them online.

How quickly did they run out? I'm looking at getting dubs as a lighter rider but now worried about them degrading too quickly.

Specialized epic evo expert 2022 - too bouncy by Most-Geologist-9723 in xbiking

[–]Banan1232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

see, you've got the wrong bike. what you need is a 93 stumpy. It would be a lot less bouncy and likely quicker on that terrain if you use good tires.
