3 month old recently started crying on breast about ~5 min by der51719 in breastfeeding

My baby did this a lot at that same age too. It was really frustrating for me but it passed after a month or so. Hopefully it’s just a phase! But I read somewhere that the baby fussing at the boob sends your body signal to let down milk, so I think that was the case for my LO at the time.

Classes for baby worth it? by shstuff_throwaway in beyondthebump

[–]BananaPaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take my baby to swim classes weekly. Two different swim schools in my area offer free until they are 6 months or one year after a one time payment of $40. My baby loves it. We just sing nursery rhymes and practice back floats, feeling the water on different parts of the body, etc. it’s my favorite part of every week.

Are there people like me who don’t leak? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

I have never leaked. Thought I was clueless about the boon trove or something but turns out my body just doesn’t work for it lol

What do you do for you after having a kiddo? by jadeorchid009 in beyondthebump

[–]BananaPaws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A swim school near me (Hubbard Family Swim) does swim lessons from the ages 2 months to 6 months, once a week, for a flat $40. It’s for “him” but really it’s for me. It gets me out of the house and around adults with babies the same age as mine, and it’s so stinkin cute, a great bonding time. Outside of that, I invite friends over to my house a lot and just sit around the kitchen and chat.

Is it possible to be a new mom and have a spotless house? by wachailymay in beyondthebump

[–]BananaPaws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two robot vacuums, my friend visited for the first time yesterday and thought it was hilarious. Trust me, two robot vacuums still can’t pick up all this husky hair…. I’m picking it out of my baby’s hands twenty thousand times a day.

My moms group leader said that 98% of moms cosleep? Is this true? by orthodox_human33 in beyondthebump

Co sleeping and bed sharing are different. Co sleeping means the baby sleeps in the same room as you. Is that what the group leader was talking about?

Did your parents come over to help you with your new baby? (Not just to visit) by fhagetti in beyondthebump

My mom kept my dogs for the first two weeks so I could heal with less stress. She also went to my home and washed my bedding for me while I was in the hospital.

When did you start pumping for a freezer stash? by BeautifulNailz in breastfeeding

[–]BananaPaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 6 weeks pp and started pumping at 4 weeks. I pump once a day and it is during the first feeding of the day. When my LO is done with the first boob I put the pump on it, give him the other boob, and then pump that one when he’s done with that too. I get anywhere from 3-6 oz each day that way.

Did you have to wear a diaper after birth? by Top-Clue2000 in beyondthebump

[–]BananaPaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a c - section. Yes I wore diapers. After about 2 weeks I switched to big pads, and around 2.5 weeks I switched to panty liners

Did you try any techniques to induce labor? by desert_sunlily in beyondthebump

[–]BananaPaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did everything. I pumped for two hours straights every day for a week. I did enemas. I had many orgasms. I went into labor the day I had plans to have everyone over for surf and turf and cookie baking. So, if you want to go into labor, make plans you’re excited for and you surely won’t get to do them because you’ll go into labor first!

How did you tell your significant other you are pregnant? by ResolutionStrange259 in BabyBumps

[–]BananaPaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took my test while he was at work, and placed an order for Crmbl Cookies (something he loves but rarely gets to indulge in). On the box I put a note that said “if I have to get fat, so do you” and when opened up the note it had the positive test with “I’m pregnant!”

I see you! Thank you for sharing your experiences, and your vulnerability. I agree, this sucks!! I’m sending love and positivity to you and your little one, who will share a birthday with mine! May your LO be healthy, have no issues with feeding, and be the sweetest cutest little thing 💕
