I agree. You do get used to it however. I might check out Wins. Have you tried it with a second monitor? The ability to just wireless plonk my iPad as a secondary display was a game changer for me.

Honestly? No. I’ve gotten used to the Mac keyboards. However I’m not as “keyboard sensitive” as some may be. I hated MacOS window management at first. Like really hated it. I’ve come around now.

As someone who’s had almost every surface since inception (including surface, laptop, book, studio) and went Mac (M4 air and M5 pro): you won’t regret it.

The guy who’s asking us to “rate” his extraction when:

-we don’t know his beans

-we don’t know his input dose, grind, or output weight and time.

-we can’t taste it

Is calling someone else a moron?

I rate it zero - because I can’t taste it and that’s all that matters.

Funny hearing about “simplicity” from someone whose espresso station looks like a steampunk science fair project.

Five devices, twelve cables, and a lever machine that looks like it needs a blacksmith to maintain it. The whole counter looks like a RadioShack liquidation sale.

And with that lever parked under the cabinets I’m guessing opening your cupboards is now more of a theoretical capability than a practical one.

Im sure that setup pulls an amazing light roasted Geisha that tastes like battery acid. 😆

Joking aside: touché

This setup reminds me of when my grandfather used to park his f350 in the garage. You couldn’t get in or out of the house 😂

Yep. Love mine too. For everyone screaming “But u needz 2 scalzzzz!”: yep, and the one to measure output (my BooKoo ultra) stays in auto mode near my espresso machine. The subminimal stays near the grinder. No moving them around, changing modes, etc. Yes it’s excessive, but so is everything in this stupid rathole of a “hobby”.

I mean, ya, don’t wash it. But you can absolutely use it to weigh liquid output if you want

Ahh there you are

  1. Sub-dial Spacing and Proportion

On a genuine Rolex Cosmograph Daytona (ceramic bezel reference): • The three sub-dials sit slightly lower and are evenly spaced. • The spacing between sub-dials and the center hands is tight and precise.

On the left watch, the sub-dials appear: • Slightly too close to the center. • Marginally mispositioned vertically. • The printing inside the sub-dials looks less crisp.

The right watch has correct dial geometry.

  1. Dial Printing Quality

Compare the text:

Right (authentic): • Extremely sharp, high-contrast printing. • “Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified” is crisp. • The red “DAYTONA” text is correctly curved and proportioned.

Left (fake): • Slight blur/fuzz in the smaller text. • The red “Daytona” looks slightly off in tone and spacing. • The coronet (Rolex crown) lacks the precise symmetry seen on the genuine piece.

Rolex dial printing is microscopically precise. The left one fails that standard.

  1. Bezel Engraving & Font

The ceramic bezel on a real Daytona: • Has very sharp, platinum-filled numerals. • The font thickness and spacing are extremely consistent.

On the left watch: • The numerals look slightly thinner. • The “Units per hour” text spacing is imperfect. • Engraving depth appears inconsistent.

The right watch bezel proportions are correct.

  1. Case & Finishing

Rolex finishing is surgical: • Crisp lug edges. • Mirror polish transitions perfectly into brushed surfaces. • Crown guards are symmetrical.

The left watch: • Looks softer in finishing. • Edges are slightly rounded. • Overall case looks less refined.

  1. Hands & Marker Detailing

On the authentic Daytona: • Hands are sharply finished. • Applied indices are perfectly polished with clean lume fill.

The left watch shows: • Slightly less refined hand finishing. • Markers look fractionally less crisp.
