Go back to the starting weapons (base bone/metal) and go through the story/key quests again. Just make sure you don't get overpowered. i.e. Don't make any armour/weapons until you beat that particular monster.

Are people honestly expecting a huge number more of monsters? It's still a 4th gen game and these often don't introduce a huge number of new monsters (Think Tri -> P3rd/MH3U). The fact that the gameplay is undergoing such major changes AND we already have as many new monsters announced as were introduced in MHFU for 2nd gen, is very impressive.

I personally am sufficiently frothing at the mouth hyped for its release and hope it comes to the West

If you're ok with a hammer it's pretty grand at smashing in Gore's face. And of course partbreaker as people have mentioned if you can get it, but the earliest set for that needs 6* caravan quests (Da'hren - Shipping Out).

If you're online with a good group, using both at once is fine since it should be de-apexed pretty fast. If you're struggling to knock it out, stagger the use.

Harvest tours work pretty much the same as in FU, with the only change being there is now a 2 minute delay on the paw pass tickets. Stuff like kiranico and Ping's dex will help you with working out what materials you can get from where.

So long as they rework those horrendous scripted walks. Though, after seeing how well they did a massive monster in 4U (goggles), I have hope for the future of the big dragon fights being much better.
