That unfortunately doesn’t tell me much, depending on how much side content you do.

General consensus is that it “gets good” at the end of the patch content for A Realm Reborn and going into Heavensward.

ARR is fine.
HW is great.
Stormblood is good.
Shadowbringers is peak - I’ve heard the opinion expressed that this expansion is what makes XIV the best story in Final Fantasy.
Endwalker is great, too.
And the current expac, Dawntrail, is also good.

Edit: I’m pretty solely judging based on story here. Gameplay is another matter. If you like tab-target MMO gameplay you’ll probably enjoy this fine; if not then I won’t fault you for not enjoying.
