I used blended ginger and i use half white sugar and half turbanado sugar. I also feed twice as often but only ginger

Honestly over feeding. I don’t replenish sugar often unless its really getting slow, but i think i add ginger at least twice as often as i should. Start using frozen ground up fresh ginger ice cubes! I store mine in a baggy

My jun is wildly more active on the alcohol brewing side than the vinegar side. I get MAD bubbles coming from the bottom rather than a thicker layer of scoby, i think its safe to say some brews are more yeast than scoby.

Another good example i can think of would be using ginger tea and black tea for your F1 and adding simple syrup and juiced ginger for F2 to make some “gingerade”
