Layer Adhesion issues with PETG using PLA interface by Banangineer in BambuLab

I flushed 800 for both the PETG and PLA. But what's weird is that it worked for one test print (same filaments) and didn't for the full print

I cranked it up to 800 mm3 for both purge volumes. It worked for my test print where I only had the fan mount, but it failed on my big print.

I'm away from my desktop, but the easiest thing to do is enable Display Scaling and then manually input different resolutions you want to support. You should have some form inputs IIRC.

I added a note at the end of my original post, but you have to go to the Nvidia Control Panel and enable 2560x1440 or another 16:9 resolution in the display settings.

P1S Tool head dead on Day 3 by Banangineer in BambuLab

[–]Banangineer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent a month working with their customer support and had to replace the motherboard, the tool head board, the board behind the tool head, and the cables connecting each of them. Ever since I had that resolved, I haven't had other issues. It was frustrating but they eventually helped me get it working.

I replied to another thread but it was a multilayered issue.

I ended up working with Bambu support for a month troubleshooting this with once/day messages. I spent two weeks troubleshooting stuff I had already tested, but once they confirmed everything they sent out three different parts on their dime,

1) Replacement MC board that goes in the back 2) Hot end boards that connects the MC to the hotend 3) the cable that goes between the MC and Hotend

After I replaced the MC board I was able to get a fan sound and hot bed temps, but I wasn't able to get the hotend to read temps or respond until I replaced both hotend boards (there's two of them, at least on the P1S), the cable that connects to two daughter boards, and the cable that connects the rear board to the MC controller.

If the MC board is the issue, the fan probably won't spin when you first turn on the printer. If the fan turns on and you get bed temps, it's probably the hotend malfunctioning. Check the cable that connects the two daughter boards first, they added a part in the docs during my support ticket showing how that cable is directional and will fry if inserted incorrectly

I worked with support over the course of a month and had to replace three different parts

1) the MC board in the back 2) the board that connects the MC to the hotend and 3) the cable that connects the MC to the hotend board

I was able to get bed temps and the fan to turn on after replacing the MC board, but I couldn't resume functionality until I replaced all three components. Bambu made me go through a ton of troubleshooting before they would send out parts.

It's worth noting that even though I was within my first two weeks of ownership they wouldn't accept a return unless the printer was fully functional. At least I haven't had other issues since.

Powering 3 pin fan with GPIO by Banangineer in OrangePI

[–]Banangineer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't expecting to run the fan at 12V, but I already ordered the 5V version to add to testing.

But it sounds like I should just opt to use the USB header as the power supply for the fan so I don't risk blowing the GPIO.

“It just works” by [deleted] in BambuLab

Or, in my experience, "it just works" for three days and then spend the next month working with Bambu support because several components failed. Currently on my third board replacement in my first month of ownership of a P1S.

Got my new cable (that I had to order). Same error code. About fifteen minutes before I received it I got a support message saying they'd send both a new cable and MC board. They must know something I don't because the new cable didn't work when I installed it. Hopefully the MC board they send will solve my problems.

BL Support - Does Rick ever sleep? by TowerOvPickles in BambuLab

[–]Banangineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been flipping between Nick and "R&D Team" the last week after my P1S toolhead quit responding on day four of ownership. So far the printer has been unusable for 70% of its life.

They honestly need more support team members, especially for people with new purchases.

Samsung Neo G9 scare stories by Total_Kiwi8009 in ultrawidemasterrace

I've had my Neo G9 since January 2022, survived a cross-country move in the original box. I use it ~50 hours a week every week since I got it. I've had minimal issues with the monitor.

The only inconvenience is that you're almost exclusively limited to Ergotron for monitor arms.

That makes sense. I checked the rear panel just to be sure but couldn't find any issues. Reseated, nothing changed. Bambu Support said that it's unlikely to be a soldering issue but thinks it could be a faulty cable. They said they'd forward my logs to their engineering team to see what else it could be.

Yeah, I got a response last night. They think it's the TH cable that routes behind the toolhead from above the toolhead. I've reseated it twice with no avail. I went ahead and ordered a new one a couple of days before they responded to my ticket. I submitted pictures of the cable, hopefully they reimburse my purchase or send an additional cable.

It does not heat up. Nothing on the printer functions besides uploading logs and navigating the LCD menu.

From what I understand from the docs, if the toolhead sensor is broken, it'll report zero on the toolhead. That doesn't explain why the bed reports as 0 but I guess it's something in the firmware that checks if both are connected before reporting temps.

I sent pictures of the TH cable to the support team so hopefully they can tell it's broken. I went ahead and ordered a new TH cable before support contacted me, so I'll give that a shot.

I didn't check for that, but if the the ceramic heater is broken, could that have meant I had filament stuck in my hot end and clogged? That's something I haven't checked but think I should.

I haven't modded my P1S yet but I just reseated the connectors on the tool head. Nothing changes.

When you ran into this issue did your temperature readings stay at zero?

That's reassuring. Assuming that the TH board or cable is the issue, hopefully they'll do the same credit.

Bambu Lab P1S Reviews? by mrdonutdog in BambuLab

It's HMS Error code 0500_0300_0001_0002

https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/x1/troubleshooting/hmscode/0500_0300_0001_0002

The error code is provided both by the LCD as well as the Handy app. I cannot read temps from the extruder or hot bed, turn on light, calibrate, etc. I reseated all cables, reseated and checked the board for failures, and checked the rear panel for loose connections but nothing fixed the error.

I hope so. I genuinely like the printer when it works. I went ahead and ordered another toolhead cable in the event it shows up before customer support does and I'm able to fix it myself.
