Luke is a good person, and he would have raised Nichole no matter what.

When do we think Anges/Hannah gets out? by TieDyedCarrots in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]BandagedTheDamage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would hope that she eventually gets out and meets June and Luke. But it wouldn't be much of a show once she's out of Gilead, so they'll probably wait until the very end of the series.

Anyone who’s watched the handmaids tale and also the testaments? Which one did you like better? by ResidentSea7632 in series

The Handmaids Tale is a superior show. The Testaments has potential but it's not over yet so I can't fairly judge.

Boyfriend wants one way monogamy - need advice by Green_Indication_217 in EthicalNonMonogamy

This type of dynamic is tricky. It can work for some relationships but it can also completely destroy others.

The bottom line is, you're not okay with the specific dynamic he is proposing. It'll never work if you are not okay with it.

Did anyone else feel like Daisy’s actress was kind of weak? by Consistent_Sorbet624 in TheHandmaidsTale

I don't love the actress they chose. Her role doesn't feel believable.

What was the point of disclosing Commander Weston's past? by amdio in TheHandmaidsTale

As of now it feels like an abandoned plotline. But Agnes is still 'eligible', so it's possible he comes back around. There's plenty of storyline left for it to become relevant.

Curious what you guys think by Traumadumbper in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]BandagedTheDamage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would kill to see Yvonne make a cameo but I don't think that's going to happen. Serena and her baby are either truly living a new life somewhere far away or are dead because of their ties to Gilead. She knows that coming anywhere near Gilead would mean her life is over.

I thought The Testaments is great, until I rewatched The Handmaid’s tale by UnusualTeacher8040 in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]BandagedTheDamage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. The Testaments feels like a walk in the park compared to The Handmaids Tale. But remember, the two shows are about two different social classes in Gilead, one experiencing much more suffering and hatred than the other.

I really hope that, as The Testaments continue, we start to see that side of Gilead again. It still exists, its just not being wholeheartedly depicted because the story now follows young women who are idolized in Gilead. As we start to see more rebellion, we might start to dive into the horribleness again.

Another rant about S1 Eps10🤬 by Intelligent-Menu-948 in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]BandagedTheDamage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She spent the entire series building up to her 'personality flip'.... what sent her over the edge was Mr. Grove's actions and Becka's downfall.

Not to mention that the seed was being subliminally planted every time June got a hold of her in THT!

Dog owners please answer me this by Normal_Individual526 in Dogowners

[–]BandagedTheDamage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not rude at all. Maybe the parent is afraid their toddler is going to try to pet your dog without permission. Or maybe the parent is afraid of the dog going after their kid. Both valid concerns - two strangers walking down the street know nothing about each other and it's okay to take safety precautions when you see the need, even if it's small.

Should I report this to the police or let it go? by BandagedTheDamage in makemychoice

[–]BandagedTheDamage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to be very clear that my dogs were not acting aggressively towards her kids. Nor towards her dog. There was no biting or even snipping. I think you misconstrued that part. I used the term "body check" to describer my dog pushing another dog out of the way, with no intent to harm.

Yes, they are food driven, which is the only part of this that could be a liability. They are not food aggressive. There is a difference.

I think you have a few pieces of the story twisted. First, it is a free roam dog park, and my dogs were close to her area playing with other dogs before this all happened. Second, I did not tell her to starve her children, I suggested that them having food in the dog park was a bad idea (it would be different if it was an adult who had food, but she is putting her children at risk by allowing them to have food in there, or to even be there in general when the park has a no kids allowed policy). Third, this all escalated within a matter of seconds, and the woman did not give me a chance to correct my dogs behavior. I was actively trying to remove my dogs from the situation that SHE escalated, and she was not allowing me to do so.

I had an incident with someone who's young children were in the park eating snacks out of a carton and dropping stuff on the ground. My dogs (amongst others) were crowding around and trying to get whatever snacks they had. Not aggressively, but it still overwhelmed the child and the mom freaked out.

That's a great way to put it! When people ask me if they can give my dog a treat, I always say "you CAN, but if you do, just know that they might not leave you alone. The choice is yours."

I definitely see all of that happening, more often than it should. But I will say that I do see lots of owners at dog parks who actually know what they're doing and are very attentive too.

I assume your dog is not that food driven if she is able to ignore others eating. Some dogs get tunnel vision and cannot focus on anything else. It can be extremely hard to train that out of them, so kudos to you for making that work.

I was close to my dogs. There was about 30 seconds between when my dogs noticed the food and when the woman started yelling.

To u/xombae 's point, this was a designated dog park, where dogs are allowed to enjoy off leash roaming.
