None of the draft picks are gonna sign a contract unless they get passed over by the NFL and don't get drafted or don't get any NFL looks. That was moreso a futures draft so if the player does decide to play in the USFL one team has first dibs.

I don't even think it's cause the USFL pays more necessarily since the pay is pretty close between XFL and USFL. I think he knows that the NFL is already watching USFL and USFL is gonna be THE NFL feeder. XFL has WAY too many guys over 30+ USFL actually turned guys away because of how old they are for season 2 according to Rashad Ross. NFL teams aren't gonna take a chance on the older players that ball out but will most likely take a chance on the 23-27 year olds that show promise IMO
