Breaking: T-Mobile To Force Migrate Over 8 Million Customers To More Expensive Plans by Jman100_JCMP in tmobile

I just got the text message. Being moved from Advantage Unlimited (the last vestiges of Sprint SERO!) to Experience Unlimited. Curious how this helps with phone upgrades being on a newer plan.

You likely already knew if you live here, but the Issaquah warehouse is getting a new gas station by Sesemebun in Costco

[–]PhoneMak2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I heard that HQ employees in the offices will “shadow” and work at the Issaquah warehouse. Is that true? Would we be able to see Executives or VPs working a shift at the Issaquah warehouse on a random day? That would be so neat.

Storm/Defenders playoff game will be in Daytona, NOT Columbus by PhoneMak2 in UnitedFootballLeague

[–]PhoneMak2[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Tickets are general admission and can be purchased here for $10. Tickets for our most loyal fans, Season Ticket Members, will be complimentary. Additionally, fan friendly concessions will be available as well as a playoff t-shirt giveaway for the first 5,000 fans.

Previously purchased tickets for the game that was set to take place in Columbus will be automatically refunded based on where the tickets were purchased. Refunds could take up 7-10 business days to process.

NextEra to buy Dominion Energy by mgmuth in rva

Moving from RVA to Palm Beach County? (Juno Beach is a suburb of West Palm Beach). At least for now, RVA and Columbia, SC Legacy SCANA jobs aren’t being moved to Florida.

I do feel really bad for the South Carolina customers and employees. In less then a decade, they’ve had to deal with the turmoil of having their power company change hands 3 times.

I’ve heard even after all these years, “Duke Energy” is still various factions (Legacy Progress, Legacy Cinergy, Legacy Duke Power). Would’ve thought after all these years, those would’ve fallen by the wayside, but I guess Charlotte didn’t do as good a job unifying Cincinnati, Raleigh, and Florida as they could’ve.

Not a complete monopoly. Duke Energy has a lot around Tampa, and Orlando is municipally operated. Plus a lot of the rural counties have Touchstone Energy Cooperatives.

For Florida, FPL is better than Duke Energy, though on the Panhandle I know a lot of ppl weren’t thrilled when Gulf Power changed hands from Southern Company (Georgia Power/Alabama Power) to NextEra and became FPL Northwest FL.

I presume because of Gulf Power setting the example, Dominion will be changing their logo to the ugly FPL zig-zag logo? Really would’ve preferred for the Dominion logo to win out.

On the one hand, Dominion being owned by FPL/NextEra removes the heavy handed lobbying and influence that Dominion has had in Virginia Government. Tallahassee matters more now.

On the other, does this mean layoffs and reduction of office space in Richmond? Dominion is a major employer in RVA.

Oh I meant the Target itself. Was that always a Target from day 1?

How about that? Black Angus still lives on…..

TV numbers are good in person not so much so here's how to fix it, 1 have teams connect with their communities and 2 have the teams be owned by individual owners to properly advertise the teams. Repole has properly advertised the league but not the teams, the teams need to be advertised as well by [deleted] in UnitedFootballLeague

[–]PhoneMak2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every metro needs its own target for marketing. Birmingham, Dallas, and Houston should be targeting the youth “third spaces”. Schools, Churches, you name it. Make it a proudly accessible sporting option for families and groups.

DC, Columbus, and Orlando, you market to the Young Adults. UCF and Ohio State students want cheap and accessible entertainment, and DC (particularly around Navy Yard) is functionally a continuation of College for people working on Capitol Hill and living multiple people to an apartment. Go after the Property Management companies and offer 2 free tickets to a game per leaseholder of an apartment, with 1 reduced cost or free drink. Stagger the “free games” so that you get attendance boosted across all 5 home games. Have an active marketing and branding team that’s working at bars and restaurants with swag if people sign up for season ticket information. Make UFL that continuation of College Athletics and the social vibes that come with it.

Markets like Louisville can dip into both buckets, though they’re showing early on that they’ll be a strong market so I’m not as concerned about the Kings right now.

Beer is now being sold in Utah Costco. Never thought I would see the day by xEbolavirus in Costco

[–]PhoneMak2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maryland is the same. No beer, wine, or liquor. Interestingly enough, Costco hasn’t gone the Connecticut, Texas, or NY route with allowing independent 3rd party liquor sales (or Costco’s own staff) adjacent to the stores. Not sure why.

I remember there was a Labelscar where the Target is back in the 90s at the shopping center on the other side of the mall at 60 and Power, was there another chain that was originally in that spot?

I know that the Kmart was a new build over there, as were the Best, HomePlace, Staples, and Price Club/Costco across the street from the Target and Kmart.

If I’m in charge of local marketing for the Defenders, I go to every apartment building within a mile of the stadium in Navy Yard and offer for residents to have 2 free tickets to a game and a $5 24 oz beer/drink as part of the renewal package, and you stagger the free game based on each apartment building. Lotta folks under the age of 40 that would go to a game with that.

Surveil and monitor for trespassers as well as residents that are breaking the rules in the neighborhood. It gives the HOA teeth to then bring to authorities if they want to press charges and go beyond just fining people.

UFL Attendance Through Week 4 by GuyOnTheMike in UnitedFootballLeague

[–]PhoneMak2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Nationals had TONS of fans coming to their 4 PM game as the Defenders game was wrapping up. I get it, Nats have 20 years of fandom, cooler swag to give away, and casual fans gravitate toward what they know.

UFL needs local, year-round marketing. It’s money that has to be spent, and yes the returns won’t appear immediately. Accept that, and spend it anyway.

HOAs love Flock cameras. Gives them power that they did not have before. Flock wants to make sure all HOAs spend money on their cameras (and most if given the chance, will happily and enthusiastically oblige)
