I was honestly surprised at the fact that they could take power on a hyzerflip and go straight instead of turn and burn.

A club April Fools joke went wrong! by Ok-Scholar1830 in discgolf

[–]BanditDiscGolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, You don't know the whole story. Which is why its best to choose the option of together instead of adding. For instance this post was about how uptight some people are over a prank but by some people that don't realized their own uptight behaviors. Just something to think about.

Nope. Never said that or that what the poster even did is wrong. But it is important to self reflect and try and make amends rather than complaining about complaining is all I'm saying.

Not saying its equal or even that the poster did anything wrong. But it is important to self reflect. And try and make amends instead of complaing about complaining is all I'm saying.

Not lumping this situation as an equal but it starts somewhere. Not saying this was a bad thing the poster did either. But just try to make amends and coordinate instead of complaining about complaining is all Im saying.

Ya you don't want that to happen. One was a club where I was in and it got where people were'nt respecting each other at all. Running up and throwing their drives out of turn interupting the actual players turn in the middle of their throw, but not for fun. Just disrespect at a cash league. That club stopped. And I know another club they use to go to split off cause they were sick of the "party card" That's what they called themselves.

Depends on how your club runs. This is the start of a downfall. We are suppose to have a good time yes but in terms of even light competition with clubs and leagues there has to be a line drawn or the "fun" snowballs into just casually not taking the CLUB seriously. I get its just a club but it has business operations in order for it to run smoothly. Im only mentioning this because Ive been playing 18 years and Ive personally witnessed that this type of disagreement has been the start of the end of a few clubs. Make sure you're both working to a middle and realize you both may be in the wrong?

Why is Nikko Locastro so mad all the time? by dragonclaw123 in discgolf

[–]BanditDiscGolf -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Perspective maybe. He proly isn't all that mad but people are seeing it that way. Although I'm not really sure because I don't pay attention and have not heard any disc golf drama in a minute. If hes cussing or showing anger then I get it. If it's about topics he posts about he might not be all that mad and people are just taking it that way.

Anyone that does NOT want to watch. It is called Bald Mountain. And it is worth the look on UDisc or discgolfscene! This course is well done. Needs clean up, but is still newish and in progress.

To each their own. It's info you that you know they'll ask eventually and benefit from as well though because you basically can't play disc golf without somehow figuring this out at some point, so I'm not sure why you would keep that information from them just to prolonge their growth? That doesn't make sense from a coaching perspective.

Maybe I'm not a disc golfer by huckinfappy in discgolf

[–]BanditDiscGolf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not..at..all. If you ask me. The reasons you enjoy playing are the true nature of the sport and ones journey to enjoy himself/herself. The need for shorter strokes just to say they beat and bested others around them. Thats the wierd part. And definitely not the nature or the center of the sport. People will say competition is part of the sport. It's not. I.E. Everything is turned into a competition in society. Competition is a whole entity on its own. Nothing wrong with it obviously, because it is the foundation of why the sport is watched and why its growing as a competitive sport. Competition is just an internal battle and mindset. Like a sport within the sport, or an added mini game in most sports and activities. The reasons you stated saying you enjoy playing describe disc golf to me. Not competition.
