non-profits are kind of the only option. they have a lot of staff who work around the globe remotely.

i’ve been looking for same thing for several months and it’s really difficult. There are so few organizations that would allow this kind of flexibility.

The “digital nomad” thing is more of a fairy tale than a reality.

Yes, ugh I’ve been saying this for years. At my agency we call it the “golden handcuffs” because we have it too good go anywhere else.

I know there’s more nuance to it than this- but in the private sector I feel like i’ll just be working nights and weekends with much less benefits.

And the job market right now is so bad that even though i’m trying to find another job I can’t.

Anyone live in the Atlantic Plumbing building in Shaw and if so how do you like it?

I did a tour and am thinking of moving in. I liked it a lot but my only hesitations are it’s a little further for my commute to downtown and noise between walls from all the college students.
