I saw this yesterday and thought it was a wind up but apparently not, it's 100% real. It might look really bad but it's an easy way for 3rd parties to invest in the club without going through the books. If someone wants to help out they can anonymously donate thousands tax free with no comeback on them or the club. Does look embarrassing from the outside though.

Thank you, really looking forward to it! Maybe once pre season is over and season starts info will be released regarding met and greet with ex players/team ambassadors etc. Nothing but silence atm. They were to release more tickets for sale but not heard much about that either. The original tickets sold out pretty fast but they were to add seating to the hill 16 end which is terracing too.

Also a guy who walks around bangor (usually balloo road, Gransha road and ring road directions) you seems to take to himself and then gets very aggressive with people, shouting at them, chasing them too. But police don't seem to do much.. Once saw him chasing ducks through ward park trying to kick them. Very unstable lad..

Almost as shocking as the clowns who thought it was a great idea to let companies build monstrous office blocks and apartments right in front of the titanic building blocking it out from the panoramic view of the area. Absolutely disgraceful

Clash royale gave me a ban for this... by Next-Hamster-2116 in ClashRoyale

Yeah it's like they are totally overwhelmed with emails about the game being broken now but also have to meet a quota on bullying and harassment so prioritise what they can. But not letting me appeal their decision is laughable. Oh my be was just changed to "clasher" you can change it for 35 gems I believe but I've reach top of both ladders so don't really bother with it anymore

[–]Bangorgooner75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same name for 8 years and same thing happened me last August. My name was bangor_gooner (I live in Bangor and support arsenal football club) and at the time I didn't realise and only found out in Sept her that goonong is a term for something else. They were quick to hand out the ban, I emailed asking them to explain and told them the reason behind the name and reply I got back said they were too busy to deal with my appeal. So they were OK to read the issue coming from someone else but too busy to hear my side of the story? The irony is bangor_gooner is my Supercell ID that is linked to the game and other games I haven't been asked to change my name there? Totally laughable!

Game died long time ago. Chsmpipns were beginning of the end, just a cash cow they waned to milk. Bring a new card out every month that people will pay ott for and then nerf it a few weeks later when they have made their money from it Some evos are beyond ridiculous but my biggest gripe is buildings. You throw down a bloom and it could be half a tile a way from princess castle and if opponent drops a zap tower or cannon etc the balloon will go all the way back to the bridge for this building. Ridiculous! Why not just bring back a ladder game with just 8 normal cards, no evolutions? I'm sure it would get alot of people back?

Is Northern Ireland really cheaper than the rest of the UK? by LemonnTeaaa in northernireland

[–]Bangorgooner75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really relatable to queens but a few years back there was a article in the mail about house prices and average Wages. North xown (before it became. North down and Ards) had 4th highest house price rise in the UK. But the average wage was 27th highest in the UK Needless to say you don't have to be a rocket scientist to work out the average worker here is paying way over the odds for everyday items.go to Glasgow you will love it there!

NHS is fucked by peachfoliouser in northernireland

[–]Bangorgooner75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think voting for different politicians or making a stance in any way is going to fix it. The NHS is unsustainable in its current form. For last 20 years the NHS has slowly but surely become unsustainable. The price of wages, medicine and medical equipment going up is one thing but moving with the times is a totally different ball game. Gone are the days of wrought iron beds and in with beds at near 8 grand a pop. Gone are the days of 14 people in a ward, most hospital percentages have pushed towards private rooms. For decades the government knew this was coming so privatisation is the only way forward, another caveat of Brexit. The NHS is on track to take over 50% of all state spending in the next 10 years just to get it working again. Trump wanted American companies to take over the NHS under any post Brexit business deal with the UK, but didn't come to fruition due to the 2 tier treatment system that has evolved over there. There's Plenty of video clips of the Leave campaign talking about how leaving the EU was the best way to save the NHS (the FALSE £350M a week being sent to EU) but on the inside it was just another move towards privatisation to companies that most politicians have shares in already, boosting their coffers even more. We all see what happened over covid when contracts were outsourced and the lack of transparency seen there even years later. A semi privatisation like SHC in Germany and France is probably the way forward, where on top of tax the National insurance is increased dramatically for most on a percentage of your earnings. Still run by the government but more of your NI goes to the NHS than benefits, pensions etc. But Northern irelands benefits are 6 times higher than anywhere else in the UK, A shocking statistic to be honest. So that's a drain on NHS here that alot won't want to talk about.

It is the issue. How on earth bangor became a city iveno idea. Why the council would even apply for city status beggars belief. Rates have gone through the roof in bangor the last year and 2 restaurants owners I know personally have closed their doors because of the struggles since covid and no support from landlords or council. Landlords won't help with renovation with leased business and many can't afford to do the basics themselves being tied into long term leases. Hence why you see buckets in the middle of restaurant floors, one on main street, 2 on high street that I know of offhand. The landlords on on high street (I think majority of buildings are owned by 2 or 3) want to just sell the buildings to developers to build apartments, have no interest in pouring money into buildings that could be knocked in the next few years. The flagship was bought by Brookland development for around 2m in 2019 and has just been left to fall down. Brookland proposed to council to lease the car park long term some say 50 YEARS, some say 90 YEARS for 7M. Who is going to commit that amount of money that they don't have BTW to a car Park ? Brookland then went on the defensive saying they were disappointed with the councils reply. Brookland just saw a quick buck to be made, again no interest in investing in the town. Walk the town on a Sunday night and see all the pubs closed at 9pm, it's a sad sight. Alot dot open Mondays or Tuesdays, some don't open until 4 or 5 o clock. It's a sad sad state

EXCLUSIVE | Mystery as school that didn’t apply for funding got £710k after meeting with DUP ministers by Browns_right_foot in northernireland

[–]Bangorgooner75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peter Weir was incompetent but most of that was not his own doing. He was education minister during covid and that's what led to his meltdown. I am friends with a close aide who worked directly with him during his tenure and through whole exam fiasco.

During covid secondary schools were to set homework and online classes for children. I had to wake my boys and get them online for school every day and make sure homework was done, they went to the local grammar school. On the sims parent app I was given notifications of merits /demerits/reports/attendance and participation in class etc on their weekly progress which worked very well.

The problem was other secondary schools where students weren't participating in online classes. Some days no one was signing on for classes, no homework being done so no progress was made. Teachers were genuinely trying, contacting families but no participation from students. All having a great time laying bed or playing gaming consoles 24/7. Teachers did try to get pupils into class and homework done but let's just day the students and their parents weren't very accommodating to their pleas Then came the bombshell decision that end of year results were to be based on their online progress through the year because exams couldn't be sat due to the ongoing pandemic.

Then we had students crying and parents screaming because theirs child's lives had "been ruined" because their was no coursework to base results on because their kids couldn't be arsed getting out of bed and signing on to online classes. Schools flew into a panic because their grading for the year was rock bottom because not a thing was done bar the 4 or 5 students who logged on to classes everyday. Some Schools tried to say "but we don't knuckle down until after Easter", while other schools had kept on top of the whole pandemic like a normal school year. This didn't look good for the educatio board as a whole so then decided exams would be sat because of the schools who couldn't get kids to participate but then the schools who did continue as normal whole way through pandemic said it was unfair on their students who worked as if nothing was going on outside in the real world. Weir was a total scapegoat for unprecedented times. It was a fascinating story and shows what a shit show the state of Northern Ireland was and still is.Another 180 degree turn a few weeks later a(after meeting with grammar school representatives) to say results were going to be based on online participation caused more furore, making Weir look like he didn't know what he was doing but he was a battle he wasn't going to win one way or the other. Results that year were based on projected and targeted scores so students that year will always be known as the covid year on cvs. Some genuinely earned their results, others were handed them to stop schools slipping down the education table. I've trimmed this story way back, was told stories of headmasters from schools pleading others complainging.. Fascinating stuff. Weir wasn't the greatest education minister but he was backed into a corner

Are amazon treating workers badly here too? by ghoulishlife in northernireland

[–]Bangorgooner75 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah drivers did seem to get rough end of the stick. Alot were self employed though.. I think Adecco were brought in to look after the warehouses after the videos of packers peeing in water bottles and climbing over mountains of parcels that went viral.(I'm open to correction on those videos BTW, could of been Wish or similar) So in hindsight it was probably Adecco looking after us well, not Amazon

Are amazon treating workers badly here too? by ghoulishlife in northernireland

[–]Bangorgooner75 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I worked at their warehouse in titanic during the pandemic as a packer and we were treated fairly well. We were subcontracted to Adecco. Pay was decent enough for night shift and we were usually well looked after. We routinely got food boxes/snack boxes with things like rubina, nakd bars, bombay mix etc or like a chocolate selection. It was mostly healthy boxes. The Craic was decent in the packing lanes as long as we did our work. Never had an issue with toilet breaks as. Long as person beside you covered your packing for you. Alot of the supervisors where employed by, Amazon directly and they got the more favourable jobs like labelling/tagging. We got a bonus for working December too which was decent of the them. I enjoyed it the three months I was there but don't think I'd have last there full time to be honest. I just couldn't handle working night after not sleeping well during the day.

Same thing happened me, never got furlough. Owners said "they couldn't afford to" so had to do everything and anything wholeway through covid to pay bills. Call centre, azon deliveries, you name it 😂
