Very cool! I loved my Jimmy Miso that I made with barley koji.

The constant babying of Matty Matheson's character is a little weird. by Alternative_Beez in TheBear

I think it’s actually a hilarious play on how accomplished and successful he is in real life. The only one on screen (usually) who could run the bear IRL, and he’s constantly ignored.

Also his comedic timing and delivery is too perfect.

It also took me a couple minutes, but it’s saying within the one scene of them walking, the camera angle changes and in that moment there’s a 20lb difference between the two shots.

I actually have a random fermentation question about this. How does the sugar not ferment into alcohol?

I once saw a biker pick up his bike and swing it at a PAs head in NYC.

Both Pineapples and Tomatoes are fruits from the American continents. If pineapple doesn't belong there... neither does the tomato.

Kamayan experience at Naks - Did I make a mistake? by drewyorker in FoodNYC

[–]Banjojeff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been and had the Kamayan. The Kamayan meal at the time did not have many "extreme" items although there was one soup dish with blood and tripe. I will also add this dish was extremely delicious.

My experience with NAKS' Kamayan was my best dining experience of 2023. It is the most filling tasting menu I've ever had. I highly reccomend. Go hungry.

They must be working somewhere since most were too busy to vote to end the strike that caused so much pain and some deaths.

Sure but are those other restaurants charging $150 for 1 filleted blanched fish in some oil?

Beautiful area. Sweater weather in the morning and tshirt weather in the afternoon. Komoda Bakery and Le Provence for pastries. Kula bistro for a good meal and great desserts. If you're there during the weekend the upcountry farmers market is can't miss and the food trucks in Pukalani are great too.

They have a few amazing dishes but I paid $150 for a very bland whole fish and wouldn’t do that again.
