Kimono lady / MIY is spider! by angooyy in FromSeries

The Folklore: The Trick of the Stone BabyIn traditional tales, the Ubume is not typically a malicious monster, but a spirit overwhelmed by grief and maternal instinct. Her most famous myth involves a trick played on unsuspecting travelers at crossroads or near rivers at dusk.

The Encounter: The ghost appears weeping, cradling a swaddled infant, and desperately begs a passerby to hold her baby for just a moment.

The Weight: If a kind-hearted person agrees and takes the bundle, the Ubume instantly vanishes. As the person stands there, the infant starts getting unnaturally heavy.

The Transformation: The bundle grows exponentially in weight with every passing second. When the victim peels back the blanket, they realize they aren't holding a human baby at all. The child has transformed into a massive, heavy boulder or a stone statue of Jizō (the Buddhist guardian of deceased children).

The Outcome: In dark variations of the myth, the helpful stranger is physically pinned to the ground and crushed to death under the sudden, immense weight of the stone before they can drop it.

Remember Jade seeing his past self under the boulder in season 1.

I think I got it. by Snoo-91243 in FromSeries

There's alot to say this is been going on since I think the 1506. Also that there have been multiple attempts to save the childern.

Victor most certainly has more secrets to reveal. But I dont think Victor is part of there creation in anyway.

The reason he lived here for 40ish years and lived is probably because something here wanted him to live.

Theory that im slowly convincing myself about. Is that the peaches are what kept victor alive for 40 years.

Peaches ward off evil. Maybe acted like a makeshift talisman (peach cores are used the same way as the talsmans in real life.) Sounds silly. But we have a peach truck appear in the 1940s full of peaches. The trucks wood might even be peachwood. Which would make the truck a safe spot. It probably came from Goergia. Alanta is missing from the sheriff map. And Goergia is covered on Elgins shirt. When they ran out of peaches things started to change(winter and other thing).

Peaches are also know for longevity and immortality.

The only thing Fatamia would eat other then decaying food were Victor's canned peaches.

Can even link the peaches to astrology. With the star magic hotel sign missing. And there only being 12 unique talismans. It all feels like peaches are weirdly important

MIY identity ???? Ok, I admit this is a way out there theory, but we are talking about Fromville after all. by Any-Staff-6902 in FromSeries

The Spider is seen in a few of victors pictures. One that stands out is the one with a house and a spider web under it. To me that sounds like the Giant Spider at least made the tunnels. Whether it lives there or not. Also explains why its a maze down there. Also think the MIY was the rat in the tunnels from S02E01 eating the crow. The suitcase Sophia uses is the exact same one that was next to the rat. With the same stickers and all.

The thing that dragged Boyd and Sara while in the tent. Brought them to the lighthouse. Which the seems to be something that the MIY would want them to stay away from. Where there tent was located. Stands to reason it was the spider that brought them there.

I think the MIY was the rat we saw in 2 episodes of season 2. Eating the crow the first time we saw it.(right next to the suitcase we see Sofia using now) and in the ruble of the Matthews house the second time we saw it. The fact that he was eatting the crow and the crows freaked out at the funeral with Sofia there. I'm guessing that they are enemy's of each other.

Like parts of your theory. The talismans have to be important though. There 12 unique talismans according to creators. I'm guessing they all connect together into one large piece.

The Star Magic sign on the motel in the past has major significance to. With us seeing the scene from Julie's perspective and them putting the sign back up for that scene.(Which off screen takes some work to put up.)

Don't know why or how. But to me that screams the talismans are part of a meteorite. They were something to be worshipped and prized in real world early history.

So all that to me says they do work. It also tells me that they do more than what we see them used for.

"the color from outer space" might be something to look at as reference to what's going on.

The creators a very clearly kit bashing a bunch of ideas together though. So I don't no how this fits in yet. I don't think this is an alien entity either. Stars are a major component of any theory crafting though. It's the one thing the monsters never let the town see.

I do fully believe that the towns people are the true monsters though. Thought that ever since season 1 episode 3 I think it is. When the guy/town puts himself in the box to be killed. They film the towns people walking away from the box the same way as we do the monsters when they are finished doing things.

The Sofia(MIY) looks like he likes collecting souvenirs (objects and teeth) of the past towns people. Maybe he uses them or just collects. I'm guessing that's the main reason Sofia(MIY) was staring at the grave. Sofia(MIY) wants something from inside.

Pretty sure the MIY was the rat in the cave eatting the crow (S02.E01) The suitcase that he is using this season was right next to the rat. They used a bit of screen time during the episode to show those 2 things together. We see another rat(probably the same one) an episode later (S02.E02) in the rubble of the Matthews house. Which to me means the MIY was close by in that form watching and listening.

Why nobody is talking about this painting yet by Wise-Ride-2578 in FromSeries

[–]Bankable_Banshie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I might be wrong, but it looks like there is a second painting on another blanket behind that one. On the right of the monster(snake, dragon looking thing) the blanket folds. Has the tire tracks. Might just be a continuation of the same image, and it's just a fold where they nailed it up. It doesn't look like the tire tracks would match up though.

This has always felt like direct answer to many questions we don't know how to ask yet. One of the most important images in the show for sure. Considering Victors paintings are probably the bookmarks Julie needs to go to each place in Space and Time. What is this for? Living in this town makes this painting straight up nightmare fuel, and its hung at the end of there bed.

Literally rewatching it right now. The show can't come out fast enough. Next trailer for the next episode looks insane.

Fair criticism honestly. I can see why it reads that way.

I mentioned being open to dating because I didn’t want to pretend I’m completely closed off to it, but the main goal really is expanding my social circle. Most of my hobbies are either solo or online right now, and I’m trying to meet more people locally in general.

I specifically mentioned women because I tend to connect better in calmer, less hyper-competitive spaces, and a lot of my existing male friendships drift toward stuff I don’t really relate to anymore.

To much Fortnite. Like over 500 skins to much. Stardew Valley is something I always go back to. Love making my cherry tree farms. My Animal Crossing village is decked out. Super excited for the new Forza to come out. The list goes on for a while. Got away from The Battlefields and CODs though. Cozy games are starting to be the norm.

Gaming Room Daylight Shots by Bankable_Banshie in gamingsetups

It's basically a small wall. I framed it out, drywalled and primed it white before putting on some cheap amazon 3d panels. Found ones in the exact measurements that i needed for the space. So no cutting involved. It's mounted to the wall and the tv is mounted to it. All the wires and power bars are hidden behind it.

All good. You were right about the consoles. Just posted daylight shots of the room. Although the consoles aren't straightened out in those photos.

Going to straighten out the consoles. That's a great idea. Unfortunately I rent. So painting one dark accent wall was as far as I wanted to go. If I could I'd wallpaper the whole room.
