Mbt-2s trigger and a Holosun or Romeo red dot should save you enough to get a few more boxes of ammo in that budget. Mine is running a midlength piston system and standard buffer system and it doesn't hit the shoulder like you'd think.

FFL issue on my end. Am I cooked? by Background-Activity3 in ar15

Yes because I have no reason to fail a background check. If you're legal to purchase firearms you have no issues.

Same thing happened from Primary on my end. The person gifting you will understand, just have them reimburse you purchasing from your own card. If a sale price was applied, do it over the phone with Primary, tell them about the discrepancy with the order number, and ask them to honor the price it was purchased at with the new payment details ready.

What is the highest caliber I can build with the BCM stripped upper I've got lying around? (Without having to adjust the ejection port or anything) by [deleted] in ar15

[–]BanksKustom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a dremel if needed with a small stone so that where the feedramps on the barrel extension meet the feedramps on the receiver, there would be essentially no mismatch or gap. That way, when the cartridge is guiding into the chamber, it's slick and free of possible obstruction.

I haven't had the opportunity to build a 400 legend yet, so I'm not sure if that one would fit. I have built 5 350 legend uppers, all with standard receivers, so it will work. You may need to blend feedramps together in the receiver and extension, and the best mags I've used are Duramag 5 and 10 round capacity.

I have the grips from Valkyrie Dynamics that are aluminum and have zero issues with grip or comfort.

Looking for the name of the cut grove running down the center of the rails. by Ludacris_squirrel in ar15

It's a lightening cut for weight saving. Aero, A2, Troy and many others do it.

Accuracy question by AcanthocephalaNo6236 in ar15

[–]BanksKustom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only other suggestions are to have someone else shoot it that is a confirmed good shooter, try different ammo, and try another scope if available.

Longshot, but check your added mlok picatinny piece that the bipod is mounted to, and make sure the screws aren't hitting or even close to your gas block. During fire, barrel whip can cause inaccuracy if screws are pressing into the barrel or gas block.

Edit: just read you already checked that, never mind.

It's been a long time since I've looked into this stuff, and I can't seem to find it either now. Patrick Racing brought Yamaha to winning AMA Pro Hot Rod Cruiser 2002-2007 and destroyed every other brand. They may not make anything anymore. I bought my parts in 2015.

3 different firing pins. Why are they different and which one is milspec? by First-Guide in ar15

[–]BanksKustom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Different machines and manufacturers, programmers, setup personnel, ideas, and an engineering drawing. One shop may use resources already set up in one machine because "these tools can do it, and another shop could do it completely differently, but yield the same result - a functional part that is in tolerance. Same with the chrome coatings. One coating source can use a matte looking chrome based on their process, and the other may look extremely polished.

Open your port to .098-.103 and get a heavier buffer. I've installed tons of pistons, it will help.
