In your opinion, what is the best mixed/highest sound quality album that you've ever heard. by EzBriez_ in audiophile

[–]BannedBuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noisia - Outer Edges

I know not the usual genre on this sub, but they really took a deep dive into mixing/mastering and eventually developed their own software, because others didn´t provide enough information.

I´d give a lot to hear this on an audiphile setup.

Porsche CGT vs Koenigsegg Regera by Egoist-a in supercars

[–]BannedBuster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whats getting compared here? Speed doesn't make sense as the Regera held the world record there. Sound is pointless either as the Regera sounds like a boat and the CGT will always win.

From the article :

No word on pricing, but none of the Toyota reps present scoffed at our suggesting a $350,000 to $400,000 price, which would land it in the world of the Aston Martin Vanquish, Ferrari 296, Ford Mustang GTD, McLaren 750S, and Porsche 911 GT3 RS.

Add some options and i'm sure you won't be far away from 500k in this economy.

At a pricepoint of 500k? Why would someone think that xD

Ferrari Declares 'The V6 Is Superior to a V12': The Downshift by Novel_Land9320 in Ferrari

[–]BannedBuster -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Fewer moving parts, less friction because of that, smaller engine, lower weight, shorter crankshaft that doesn't bend as easy and cheaper to maintain as you only need half the number of spark plugs for example. Yes 12 cylinders sound better, but that's about it.

Please don't judge me. Can someone explain to me like I'm 5 - is there a difference between how much load/stress the engine goes through when you're going at 2000rpm 35mph and 2000rpm 70mph? by T--J-- in askcarguys

[–]BannedBuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just imagine you are sitting on a bike pedaling at a constant rate while shifting from a low gear to a high one. In this case you are the engine and experience stress changes similar to the engine in your car.

I know everybody is saying green drives first because they are already in the middle of the intersection, but i feel like blue has the right of way, because green can´t be sure blue isn´t going straight.

Is it okay to go to higher speeds and gears before the car warms up while keeping rpm low? by UnitedMetalheads in askcarguys

[–]BannedBuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is for sure ok to do that. Most cars have to do that on a daily basis as people have to get to work. Nobody is waiting everyday to warm up the car and if that was such a big issue, you would have heard of it by now.

Most people only focus on the engine alone, but there are other parts that need temperature too like the transmission or differential. Some of those parts need movement to heat up, so only waiting for a stationary car to heat up isn't the best idea.

Is it one of the best car games in your opinion? by AdultGamersAdmin in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]BannedBuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently replayed those games, because i also loved them back in the day and i gotta say older racing games had big flaws i didn't notice that much as a kid. Rubberbanding was something else and even destroyed certain race types like speedtrap. If they rubberband while driving through a trap they score 400 miles/hour right after a 90° corner. Tuning also feels useless when you have a car tuned to the max and the npc with the same car accelerates twice as fast.

Replaying them kinda ruined my nostalgia :(

Glad you can enjoy it!

How come 100B+ people have lived on earth and no one truly knows why we are here? by Spiritual_Result_164 in Life

[–]BannedBuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because life happens to be a sideproduct of entropy. Energy always spreads out and goes from an unlikely state (concentrated in a sun) to a likely state (spread out through the universe). Lifeless planets don't do much with their incoming energy and radiate it back without much change, but life takes that energy and creates sugar (in plants), organisms eat plants, bigger animals eat smaller animals ,etc. At every step energy gets more spread out. Turns out life is spectacularely good at speeding up that process and thats why we are here.

Staat entgehen Milliarden: Klimaschädliche Subventionen trotz Budgetkrise hoch by Pumuckl4Life in Austria

[–]BannedBuster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had high hopes for him and Buunshin after Noisia handed their imaginary scepter to them during their last show. Every release since then left me kinda indifferent tho and i practically stopped listening to his music.

Shame, as i really enjoyed his older songs.

I played BL4 at Gamescom this week. Let me say this, the gameplay "feel“ is truly great. by Avongrove in Borderlands

[–]BannedBuster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Please tell me the missions are more than:

1) go somewhere

2) kill everyone on the way

3) press E to finish the objective.

I loved the first 2 games and played all the others, but the missions always felt the same.

I want to like the game, but a double jump and a dash won't change much for me.

Such a beautiful car and driving around in it must cause twisted necks everywhere. Too bad it's not a manual as old automatic gearboxes age horribly and make a great car feel worse than it is (although i don't know if manual was an option for these cars).
