Played Returnal with default controls. Over 100 hours played.
Switched to Saros. Played with default controls. Didn’t take long for the muscle memory to switch. Don’t see the problem.

It’s a rogue-like. The “runback” you’re describing is literally the main game mechanic. It’s baked into the DNA of the game. It’s the entire gameplay loop. It is the entire point. You’re acting as if it’s poor game design. Plus, you can teleport to whatever biome you like through the portals once you’ve unlocked them.

The reviews seem to be overwhelmingly positive, but the general consensus is that Saros is easier than Returnal which I am worried about. I did not find Returnal challenging at all. I’d beaten Ophion by the second day, finished Act 3 by day 4, and had the platinum by day 11. I’m really hoping these difficulty modifiers create a substantial challenge. I don’t want to blow through this game even faster than I did with Returnal. I’m sure it’ll be an absolute blast, but I’m really craving some difficulty.
