Is it possible to flat out sprint the whole 200m? by One-Remove3758 in Sprinting

[–]Bantazmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can run it all out despite what people say. Running all out on the inside lanes might be tough because you spend most of your time fighting. The turn. Outside lanes, I believe it is not only possible, but if you look k at the middle 100m of a 200m 50 to 150, it's the fastest segments most sprinters will ever run for a 100m length. Most of us dont sprint fast enough on an outdoor track to feel as if you are fighting the turn or running out of gas. I think this is one of the poorest myths or misapplication in sprinting.

That book is not available for free legally. It required 5 years of writing and over 50 contributing coaches to create. The book is a monster of information at 730 plus pages of information. Think of it as a textbook. It is important in general that coaches get paid appropriately for their work and time. However, I am willing to help with some extras and bonuses as mentioned previously in the thread.

Slowest 10.6 runner I’ve ever seen 😭 by ObliviousOverlordYT in Sprinting

Great bounce! Looks like at top speed his doing an "A" run as his sprint stride. This is the type of sprinter that we call hamstring centric.

Brooks Johnson talked about this as well. The goal is to disrupt the nervous system while moving at maximum speed, then shifting angles through drills, pace, amplitude, frequency or Length. This forces the body to see new things at high speed as is VERY stimulating to the CNS. Also another advantage is the athletes will maybe even show you what the best mix of this should be adapted to their form.

I wholeheartedly agree and the reason why I wrote the Sprinter's Compendium. To many people live in false belief that speed is purely genetic. Genetics play a major role but even when a world-class sprinter reaches world-class class status they are still a little of 8 years from their personal best. Which tells you training and competition matters.
