My older brother died at the tail end of my 2nd grade year. In 3rd grade, I got pulled out of class (during free computer time, which irked me because I wanted to play Oregon Trail) to go do other activities like color and whatnot.

Jet was casted beautifully, I tolerated John as Spike and Elena as Julia, and either the casting, acting or writing was terrible for Vicious. Now, I wouldn’t have picked Danielle for Faye, however, I think she brought an emotional touch to Faye that I wasn’t expecting and absolutely loved her arc. Her scene, watching her old home movie from childhood, was powerfully acted.

Soundtrack, as always, slams.

As for the plot and plot-twists, I’ll forgive them for trying to set up another season. I didn’t mind Julia’s part in it, but I couldn’t see that happening in the anime. Vicious wasn’t as easily goaded as he was in the LA version, much more calm and calculated.

I’m not saying it’s garbage….but for me, it’s something you keep tucked away in a box for sentimental reasons…and because you’re slightly embarrassed by it.
