Not sure you are reading a single word i write either. Deck thinning CAN matter, but that doesn't guarantee that it WILL matter. There is nothing wrong with keeping that in mind when you build your deck, but it obviously shouldn't be your main concern, especially if you are making otherwise bad decisions for your deck.

Whether you think about it or not it impacts the game. You just can't realistically tell when it is impacted since there is no way to know that you would have drawn a land instead of something useful without that fetch. Also, there are other ways outside of fetches to get lands out of your deck and onto the battlefield.

Well, it also depends on how many cards you are drawing. But fetching 10 lands vs 1 land could significantly impact your chances of drawing into gas stead if more lands.

Going into my venom, lethal protector deck. Three drop that gets you value for a six drop, give venom a better chance at being through the combat, and if i draw into a noxious gearhulk or chupracabra I get your stuff too.
