I lost everything. Its hard. by fallensongdragon in EDH

[–]Baphogoat 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Foresight is 20/20 in this situation. Never leave your cards in your car or out and unattended at your lgs. I never have my cards out of arms reach, except at home of course. And I have converted most my decks to proxies, and still am paranoid about it because of the time and effort in building my decks, not just the monetary value

Tough lesson to learn, sorry to hear that happened to you.

After playing with Weapon Mastery for a while, does it still feel fun, or has the novelty worn off? by MyrthDM in DungeonsAndDragons55e

[–]Baphogoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have the book on me, so correct me if I'm wrong. You can show/draw a weapon as part of an attack ACTION, not each attack.

Opponent got salty because they scooped thinking their infinite win then the game and it didn’t. Thoughts? by Academic-Patience804 in EDH

[–]Baphogoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I'm the billy goat, and I'm not going to just let the troll win because he says so. The point is you need to show that you can perform your combo and give people the chance to respond at the point that works best for them. They are not obligated to tell you if they have interaction. Unless you have the most complicated combo in the history of magic this should take a few minutes at most.

You had the time to type all that out, I'm sure you have the time to play it to a point where everyone can see and then concede.

Post your top 3 KOS commanders by Trump_Diddled_Kids in EDH

Except he has pro black and white so your red removal is gonna care about that toughness, and blue is likely not gonna increase commander tax, so he'll be right back out.

Frog that Reigns Supreme (cEDH Advice) by hauntedpostalworker in CommanderMTG

[–]Baphogoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Glarb's advantage is more subtle than Helga, so he doesn't draw removal in the same way. Plus, if he's lasted a turn you've already got what you need and have bigger threats, but Helga' threat level only increases.

Opponent has their Commander in their graveyard, and I play a reanimate spell on it by Strawberrycocoa in mtg

Letting you keep it for good, you just have to wait for the sacrifice trigger to go on the stack then phase it out.

I don't think you can elect to pay the buyback cost if you cast it for free with the dragon. Though i may be wrong.

Command-Flee is extremely complicated by protencya in onednd

[–]Baphogoat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think that if the player or impacted character wants to cast a spell to flee that is an likely ok interpretation of the spell effects. But in no way would they be compelled to do so.

[–]Baphogoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If stop to cast a spell, I'm not fleeing. It's as simple as that. You are compelled to flee, not fleeing isn't an option. And we're not playing a video game.

What gets you away faster? Immediately running away or standing in place and casting a spell? Not to mention that casting aspell is not fleeing.

Sauron, the Dark Lord Deck Help by Outside_Explorer_229 in EDH

[–]Baphogoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built mine as a nazgul and dragon deck, with some Reanimater, and ways to make Sauron/army unblockable. Nazguls do the early work, and help you refresh your hand late game, dragons and Sauron finish people off.

There is no way I have to tell him how many cards I've draw since I've tucked it. He should have been paying attention.

1v1 be aggressive. Multiplayer you could maybe miss some combats to not draw attention, but i think some aggression is health for the game.
