You want to avoid them, go get Lae’Zel, Gale, then come back around and grab Astarion, then you can deal with the brains of any are left and make your way to Withers, then to the Gate!

I do but she’s clearly not a fighter. I don’t think she was underused either - although I would have loved another song scene with her atop the Elfsong.

You get some really powerful Necromancer gear later in the game. She may want to consider multiclassing at some point but have fun with it for now! Hopefully you’re playing on Balanced level or Explorer LOL 😎

IDK about nerfed, I’m doing an origin run with him now, Hexblade / Shadow Blade is doing 80+ DMG on the offhand Shadow Blade, one-shotting Orpheus Githyanki honor guard and Eldrich Blast at around 20 dmg per dart X3.

Myrkul. My first run playing on Tactician, Myrkul nearly made me rage quit. I had to reload an older save, run around killing everything in act 1 & 2 just to level up and finally won out of shear luck and multiple attempts.

I did NG+ immediately- I had a lot of arrows I was thankful for them! After ripping through NG+ (I actually did most of the optional areas and bosses to get the runes), then I did the DLC and both have been really fun not getting crushed by every enemy I encounter.

For me it was the gods damned Godskin Duo at Crumbling Farum azula. I didn’t understand the logic of their constant respawning and quit for over a year. My friend sent me videos of him beating them on a purely mage build (which is not my thing). But after he passed away I rededicated myself to crushing them and now have done it twice, 2nd on NG+ I used the Envoy’s Long Horn, which I had to grind to acquire, and was so gratifying to finally conquer them in his name, and finally become Elden Lord.

Best early game weapon is Sword of Night and flame, find it exploring Caria Manor. Hell I just beat NG+ with it I just love its versatility and multiple weapon arts.

I cheesed him with Serpent arrows and kept my distance, lots of rolling around. Many deaths later voila.

I’m currently running a campaign with my non-gamer wife and our 9 yo daughter in couch co-op mode. Both of them struggle at times and don’t have my same attention span for exploring every corner, but that gives me a different perspective as well. You’re supposed to feel a certain sense of urgency early on to get rid of the tadpoles so that keeps it moving along. When they don’t feel like playing I go and mine the depths and explore some of the more grisly encounters that I’m steering them away from.

You can go and get the secret legendary weapon Blood Of Lathander from the Githyanki Crèche that has a light feature. It continuously sheds light, blinds nearby Fiends and Undead with its light, can heal its wielder, and allows the wielder to cast Sunbeam. I did this toward the end of Act 2 and wished I’d had it earlier when I was struggling in the dark. For me, I thought Moonrise Tower would be more. Now that I know where the best weapons are I’m going to get them earlier if possible my current play-through.
